A powerful shoe with lockdown fit. Made with an extra-wide design that allows the foot to spread, these men's lifting/weight-training shoes pair a snug-fitting upper with a wide midfoot strap for extra support. A high-density die-cut wedge midsole keeps you close to the ground.

Great Shoes. These will improve your comfort, form and help you make gains in your squat and dead lift.
I have been doing Squats 3 times a week for the past 12 months in regular Nike Cross training shoes and I was starting to have pain in my ankles, sides of my knees and lower back so I really paid attention to my form. Watching my form in the mirror and in particular my feet I could see that once I hit about 85kg and above my feet were blowing out the side of the cross trainers and the whole shoe seemed to be shifted off the sole. My stance was wobbly through the range of motion and It was just not comfortable.I had been looking at lifting shoes for quite some time but just did not want to spend $200 on a pair of shoes just for the gym. I found these and read the reviews and caught them on sale. I tried them out and I can only say that I wish I had gotten them sooner. They are very comfortable and stylish and once you lace them up and tighten the Velcro strap your feet are very secure in them. They are flexible yet do not give out on the sides like regular sneakers do. The best part is the flat hard sole really gives you great stability. It is slightly inclined so it helps you squat lower when your ankles tend to lift off the ground in regular shoes.I can feel the exercise more in my legs now because I am not working against the shoe and can concentrate on contracting the muscles. A few other reviewers said this and I have to agree, these shoes make you feel anchored to the floor. I use them for squats, deadlifts, overhead press and bent over barbell rows. I was pleasantly surprised how much more comfortable I felt doing the rows in these shoes. They are comfortable enough that you could wear them through your entire workout but I take them off when I am done with the exercises I mentioned because less wear and tear and I hope to have them for a long time. The fit was exactly what I expected. I take a 10M in all other shoes and these were no different. My feet are slightly wider and I have had trouble with Adidas sneakers in the past being too narrow but these fit perfectly both length and width. There is only one issue that I ran into and it was completely my fault. I wanted my wife to try them on just so feel how well they anchored your feet to the floor and she jammed her foot in them and stepped on the back of the shoe without untying the laces properly to pull the shoe over her heel and it squashed the back down behind the ankle which took quite a bit of effort to pull it back up into place. I was worried she had damaged the padding in the back but they are fine. I make sure to untie the laces and loosen the shoe up before I put them on and do not see having any issues going forward. If you are just doing light weights, you might not benefit as much as if you are going heavier. If you are squatting above 100kg, then I would say a powerlift shoe is a must.

Because a Girl Needs a Shoe for Every Outfit
I resisted getting shoes for a while. I'm a beginner-intermediate lifter with knee flexion issues preventing going ATG, and until recently hadn't got a BW squat, so what did I need shoes for?? I was squatting in NB minimus shoes that really had no padding and no heel drop, so I felt I had decent contact with the ground. I kick myself now for having waited so long. The immovable surface to push against, and foot stability within the shoe, has helped me develop a confidence in my squat that a long-term nagging hamstring injury had completely undermined. The first few times wearing them my squat was way off, but within 5 sessions I got the BW squat. Immediately I got a few degrees deeper than parallel, adding depth I never thought I could get, pain-free! Another 4 sessions saw greater depth and better glute & ham activation, at a working weight greater than I'd been lifting the month prior. Your results will vary, but if you can get them at a good price (I got them for $66 total) I think they're worth a spin. I wish all my shoes were this stable, especially my zumba shoes! They fit me as expected - I ordered the men's 9.5 and I wear a women's 10.5 C. They could stand to be a little more snug across the forefoot, because when i pull the laces tight the leather kind of buckles there, but the laces and strap together keep my foot firmly in place in the shoe.

Be aware of shoe color!
I made the mistake of not really paying attention to the color title of these shoes; I thought I was going to get a yellow/grey shoe combination like the picture shows, but these ended up being a lime green/grey-teal combo shoe. I'm hoping the picture I uploaded of mine is more accurate. That being said, these shoes are great; they fit fantastically (I wear a size 10 in most shoes, maybe a 9.5 in the Nike freetrainers but that's changing), and I can definitely feel the difference in stability when I'm squatting, deadlifting, or even db curling. The 'uglier colors' definitely are cheaper, but I care more about how they fit and work. Both are great. I just took it down a star because the picture on Amazon doesn't really reflect what the shoes actually look like.

Best Lifting Shoes I Have Owned
After years of barefoot lifting and experimenting with different shoes, I finally found what I consider the perfect lifting shoe for me. For almost 10 years I have been a barefoot lifter, using Vibrams in the gym. I love the feel of a barefoot shoe and I like that the shoe requires way more work to stabilize yourself than a shoe with mega support like a traditional lifting shoe. The problem is... age. I am now in my mid-30's and the barefoot shoes were starting to cause some problems with sore feet and achy arches after long hard lifts. It was time to invest in a traditional pair of lifting shoes. Now I am in no way a crazy powerlifter. I am lucky if I hit the squat and bench twice a week. I do a lot of standing barbell exercises that require novice to medium skill and these shoes are perfect for that. The flat bottoms and high supports give my feet a ton of stability and they keep my soles feeling great after a long lift. They take some getting used to when you first start wearing them because of the completely flat sole and high backs, but once you ease into them, you will never want to go back. I tried wrestling shoes, Nike, and several other brands before I settled on the Adidas product. The color gets a lot of comments but I love it. Definitely a statement getter. If you are novice to expert in the gym, you would probably find these more than adequate for most l lifting activities.
