Great concept! As soon as power goes out, it makes a sound loud enough.However , built quality looks to be poor, so only time will tell.Then once it starts to make a sound, we can't turn it off. We have to remove the battery to turn the sound off.That said, it serves my purpose. I needed a device to alert me of power failure as a family member is on O2 support and we need to move the Oxygen supply from concentrator to cylinders as the power goes off.
