This plate worked perfectly to fix an external door where the mount for the knob had bent in, causing the knob mechanism to bind when tightened down. Looks awesome in black. I had to mount mine vertically due to my knob hole being too close to the jamb, horizontally it overhung the edge of the door. Keep that in mind; even if your door hole is too far over, you can still use this no problem vertically.

Took my old ugly brass knobs, sprayed them black, added these plates vertically behind the knobs and ended up with a great cheap farmhouse/colonial look. The hole perfectly fit over my standard holes. The plate is super thin so I was able to use my same screws. The two way tape is super strong. I ordered the four pack and I’m back to order 5 more packs because I love the look so much I’m doing the whole house…

This product worked great on my mother in law door. Because my mother in law door was white it blended in with her door. I do like that you can use these horizontal or vertical around the door hole. This product can sometimes don’t match up with your door. Also for electronic key pads this product don’t allow for the electronic keypad to lay flush on the door.
