My daughter had corrective surgery on BOTH of her achille's, thus I bought two of these. The hospital supplied cast shoes that were unattractive and difficult to put on. We ended up using them as her "shower shoes", to be worn over the CURAD cast covers (which I also would recomment over the trash bag & tape method). These boots are a great, lightweight material with durable soles. The style was complimented on by several people, including the orthopaedic staff. She was able to put them on and take them off with ease and felt more confident -when being outside the home- that her feet would not slip off or out as she feared with the hospital-supplied shoes.Highly recommended.
