Love this toning mask!
My hair looks so shiny and the color is gorgeous after using this mask! I also like that the color wasn’t anything drastic, just a nice subtle touch up that makes the color more vibrant.

Toned darker then I'd like
I ordered cool sands. It toned my hair pretty dark. Maybe for a winter time vibe but it wasn't what I would have liked a for the spring. My daughter also said you could see it unevenly toned , (my fault, so you want to make sure u comb it through and really hit all spots

Great product
Former cosmetologist here. I like to use this product (in color chocolate) whenever I’m lazy. Is it as good as professional grade? Id say it’s a solid 70 percent.I really do love the way this product leaves your hair feeling afterwards.I’ve read some of the poor reviews and I want people to understand that your results highly depend on your hair’s condition and current color. It specifically outlines this in atleast the chocolate color. I also want to keep in mind this is deposit only and does not penetrate your hair shaft. Toners don’t do that they sit ontop of your hair shaft the next step up would be a Demi permanent color which would lightly penetrate the shaft, a step up from that would be a semi permanent which would go in deeper than a Demi and finally the step up from that would be permanent hair color which would go all the way.Another thing I saw in the reviews is people upset about their hair color not getting lighter. Color does not life color. If you want a lighter color the only way to achieve that is by lighting your hair with bleach (hair bleach PLEASE don’t use the cleaning solution) . After you’ve lightened your hair with bleach you can then put color on it and it’ll be a lighter version. That’s why you see there’s a chart on Amazon atleast on the chocolate which states the level your current hair is on the left (from blonde to dark brown) and what to expect it to look like on the right.Separately hair porosity plays a big factor. If your hair is blonde but it feels super dry that means your hair follicles are lifted up so it feels coarse. This means that if you put the toner on it will absorb the color much deeply and quickly than a person without dry hair. So it you’re looking for a lighter version than you’ll need to process it for a shorter time. However for a toner clarifying shampoo or even detergent can brighten that up quick if you went too dark. I would just follow a deep conditioning treatment after doing something like that to counter it.Now there were complaints about how long the color lasts. That too is dependent on a number of factors generally this should last 2 weeks. However it depends on the hair porosity, shampoo you’re using, how often you wash your hair any if you’re doing any conditioning treatments. To make the color last you should be using moisturizing shampoo and washing your hair every other day as well as doing weekly deep conditioning treatments and using a conditioner after your shampoo. The goal is to keep your cuticles down to prevent most of the color from washing out. If however you’re constantly washing your hair or you’re using clarifying shampoo it can come out very quickly especially with harsh shampoo

Keeps color vibrant
I have dark hair and a gene that causes photobleaching, sun fades the color. This product layers over the strands and refreshes the color. It's the only product I have found that works for me.

Play around until you find your perfect mix
This is what I use to get between hair appointments. Im a natural brunette and have babylights and blonding to blend grays. My blond was growing out and I had dark roots peppered with grays. I used cafe on washed air dried hair just near the roots and it blended the grow out line but was much red/orange for my liking. The next day I used graphite over my roots and it dulled the red and cooled the town. Final result is seamless dark roots to light tips and looks perfect! No lines. For the blond tips I like the sand color also.

Good color but stains bathroom!!
It did the job for my hair, but stained my whole bathroom. I was looking for a magenta hue to refresh my cherry cola brunette/black dyed hair and it turned out how I expected! However, it was messier than I thought and it stained my bathroom sink and bathtub!
