Expires in 5 weeks
I just received this expensive yeast, packed 2 years ago. It expires in 5 weeks. Unacceptable. Got a refund from Amazon. I don't know how well it works.

Worked great for our stollen recipe.
This vacuum-packed brick of yeast had me wondering if it was solid or if that was just the packaging. Fortunately, it's just the excellent airtight packaging. When I cut it open, it released the normal granules of yeast that a baker would be accustomed to using. We used it just as we would any active dry yeast and it worked perfectly. Of course, you must activate it with the proper temperature of liquid and let the necessary amount of time pass to work its leavening magic. We used it last week to make a beautiful holiday stollen. It worked great. Very happy and looking forward to using it in Belgian waffles next.

It’s vacuum sealed and seems very fresh. The smell when opened is very rich and full.
Molino Dallagiovanna Natural Yeast Lievito 500g Professional grade bakers yeast 1:100 ratioFirst impressions: Nice large brick of yeast. It’s vacuum sealed and seems very fresh. The smell when opened is very rich and full.Installation/setup: Use as called for in recipes for breads and the like.Final thoughts: I used this in a recipe for buttery dinner rolls to have with our Thanksgiving leftovers. I use my bread machine and I make it very often so I am used to how it turns out. This yeast worked great, making aromatic and tasty yeast rolls that smelled great and tasted even better. I like this and I’m glad I got it. The bag isn’t resealable so I put it in a ziplock baggie. It says to keep it in a cool place, so I put it in the refrigerator like I keep the yeast I usually use that I get from a big box store.⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

How OLD is this yeast?
Bought this yeast - gave half to my CA daughter when it arrived at her home while I was there. Took my half home - we both had same results - no rise. She tried 3 times. I gave up after 1.

Best European Yeast! Once open need to consumer in a month.
The yeast comes in a vacuum sealed package so every little air. It has a nice foam and yeasty smell to it when activated. Its best use date is April 2025. However, once you open this yeast, you have only about a month to consume it. So, I broke it down into smaller amounts and vacuum sealed each package. This is an amazing yeast from Italy. I’ve used their flours when at home in Spain with my family. It’s truly a treat to use this yeast in my bread.

Didn’t initially bubble a lot but my Belgian waffles came out fabulous; for volume bakers - UPDATE
This yeast expires April 30, 2025. Once it is opened I store it in the fridge. However, it says to use it one month after it is opened. Therefore, this is for volume bakers because the yeast will go bad before most home bakers will use this up.I used this like my normal yeast by dissolving 3/4 tablespoon of yeast with a pinch of sugar in 110 degree Fahrenheit water for 10 minutes. This yeast did not initially bubble like other yeast (Fleischmann's and Red Star) but the end result was fabulous. My Belgian waffles came out fantastic. The current price of $20 is competitively priced but can be wasteful if one cannot use up this package in one month.UPDATE: I changed my mind about this yeast. It does not last long at all. The yeast becomes inactive in less than one month. I lowered my ranking from 5 to 3 stars.
