This Premium Sweet Hungarian Paprika Powder is absolutely fantastic. The color is vibrant, the aroma is rich, and the flavor is smooth and slightly sweet without any bitterness. One of my favorites is Hungarian Paprika Butter, and this paprika makes it incredible. Quick Hungarian Paprika Butter Recipe: • 1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter, softened • 1–1½ teaspoons Premium Sweet Hungarian Paprika • ½ teaspoon salt (to taste) • Optional: pinch of garlic powder or squeeze of lemon Mix everything together until smooth. Nothing like the taste of real paprika. The stuff you get off the shelf in the store looks kinda like real, smoked paprika but lacks in flavor. Not this stuff!! This has a rich, Smokey flavor and a vibrant color. Very nice spice and the price was reasonable.

The best thing I think I have ever bought on Amazon. The flavor, the color, the aroma!! The price is 100% worth it. It tastes very authentic and fresh.

Growing up in a Hungarian family, paprika was the predominant and most essential spice we used every day. (I'm surprised it wasn't added to baby bottle milk.) This brand is the best Hungarian paprika we've been able to buy in the US. And I have to add this warning: Avoid paprika that says it's "Hungarian-type" or "Hungarian-style" if it's not actually made in Hungary—buy the real thing. And I am not denigrating Spanish paprika; it's also excellent to use and great in other recipes; we use it too.

As soon as I opened the bag, I knew from the scent that this paprika was different than any other I had ever had. It smelled like sweet and tangy peppers. I always thought that paprika was something you added just for color, but this has a distinctive delicate flavor that we enjoyed. I first used it in an Eastern European goulash, and bloomed the paprika in oil, releasing its aroma and its brilliant color. Even though it simmered for about three hours, it kept its flavor, which is mild, with no heat. I had planned to transfer the paprika to a glass jar, but the pretty package is sturdy and has an airtight seal, so I believe I will just keep it in the envelope for now. When first opened, the powder is a bit lumpy, but I just sieved the amount I used and it was fine. So much better than what you can get in the grocery store.
