Bought for my 2 1/2 year old grandson for Christmas. He loves it and can run the train without any adult help. Easy to assemble and run. It was his favorite present. Definitely a great train for the price

Great train, great quality

Build quality is actually quite nice for the price. The locomotive is made of metal, and there's good (if odd) details to the whole thing. The locomotive has a front light that is red (for some reason) and the carriage cars light up inside, it's actually quite handsome overall. For the price, I was really just looking for something cute to put up under a small tree I set up for Xmas, but the quality is better than expected. My one complaint is that the train is very prone to derailing, the front bogey on the locomotive comes loose in the turns. If I set it up again, I'll probably try to add some weight to the front and see if that works.Also to note: When you turn the locomotive on, it makes a whistle sound and then the "chugga chugga" noises as it moves. It starts slow and gradually increases speed along with the sound effect. A nice touch. However, there is no way to disable it, so if you leave it running it's going to chugga chugga the whole time.The smoke effect, which I honestly did not expect to work, is very charming and only requires that you fill it with a bit of water (there is a little bottle included).

Honestly, I don’t understand the appeal of train sets, but my 9-year old grandson sure does. He has spent hours playing with this locomotive! Loves the lights, the steam, the sounds. A favorite Christmas gift!

This train came with no battery pack. This is my second train I ordered first one did not work. Second one came with no battery pack hopefully third times a charm. Super annoying.

I bought this for my 2 year old Grandson, maybe silly but based on the reviews I thought it would be magical... however, after set up my son in law decided that this be "his" gift and not the little ones because.... irresistible as it may be, well it's just not kid friendly; So regifted to the son in law who loves his new toy. Cute train set for me as I love trains. You are never too old to enjoy this even at 79!

Three year old grandson loves the train, plays with it often. Makes realistic train sounds that are coordinated with the speed of the train. Cool smoke like appearance using only water. Sound and smoke are controlled wth wifi remote. Family fun.

So I had bought this train for my child for Christmas, it only worked 2 days and when I changed it and connected it all again it just did not work. I was very disappointed with the quality of work and connector is very poor quality and these days there are so many staring and stable options are available. I am surprised manufacturers did not see that how can a child connect it together.. they could do better thinking and innovation. So I started a return and sent it back . Very disappointed with this product miser of all my child was so upset. Now I have to look for something else to make up for disappointment.
