Great little speaker, but here's the deal-breaker: it always turns on with the sound really loud! I bought this device for my friend who has severe dementia. I made a playlist of songs she loved as a kid, and copied them to a 32GB micro SD card. Then I put the card into this device. I want her husband (a techno-phobe) to be able to just turn it on and let her enjoy the songs. I turned it on and BOOM! it's playing way too loud. Aack! Turn it down! The steps in volume are too large; I could set it either a little too quiet or a little too loud. So I set to a little too quiet. Pause-Play, sound volume didn't change. Skip-track, sound volume didn't change. Power-off/power-on and BOOM! Aack! So every time I cycle power, I have to be ready to turn down the volume as soon as it starts playing. Fooey. An interesting "feature"... Even when I take the chip out and put it back in, the device remembers what track it was playing, and starts at the beginning of that track. So the song queue is like an endless loop. There's no way to tell it to just "play the first song on the chip." Also the next-song button is really the previous-song button, and vice-versa. The sound quality is perfect for the purpose, but I just don't think the default volume level is going to work.

Bought this to replace a different speaker which has no volume or play controls. First impression is I like it. Here is the breakdown:-Charging : very fast, it took less than an hour to fully charge via USB connected to a battery-powered laptop. Cable is included with speaker.-Pairing : can't be any easier, press and hold the power button, get into pairing mode, and you're done. Phone didn't ask for pairing code at all.-Sound volume : insanely loud!!! I can't believe such a small speaker is so loud.-Sound quality : quite good considering the size. Obviously it's not a Bose pro audio speaker set, but it's more than adequate for a small speaker.

The only problem I have is with a delay when using as Bluetooth with my Echo Dot. The first part of the beginning of the sentence is getting cut off. But when using it directly wired, it is great. The sound is good, and the slight delay would not affect streaming music, it is only a slight problem when answering a query

Nice slick design, simple setup. But, sound is poor, no low frequencies at all, music sounds flat and distorted. Would be suitable for phone voice conversation. Compared to similar device at similar price - other devices are way better.

I take it for rides with my kids in our bicycles. Nice for a little jam!!

Underwhelmed. It got great reviews but the sound quality isn't too great and it seems to require constant charging. In addition the voice is annoying. Loud and robotic

Works and sounds great. A very handy item to have around. One of the best items ever purchased by me. We all need one. I'm thinking about getting another. This would make a great gift.
