Excellent quality camera with full coverage and great features
Great quality camera with sharp 4MP video and smooth 360° coverage. For the price, it’s excellent value. Wi-Fi range is strong, but it also has an Ethernet port if needed. Plenty of mounting options make installation easy, and it works perfectly in the Tapo app. Very impressed overall.

Good value cameras with impressive performance for the price.
These are good value cameras, easy to install and setup with some great features. Have to option of using stand alone or with their cloud service. Have plenty of storageusing 512Gb micro SD. The image quality is good and so is the sound, does a great job of recording the bird song in the garden. Detection modes are ok but it occasionally misses things, possibly due to the size within the frame. Hopefully they will continue to improve with firmware updates.

Fantastic Value for Money—Feature-Packed and Easy to Set Up!
For the price, the Tapo Pan Tilt Camera is an incredible deal! It was quite easy to set up and I was able to get it up and running quickly. It is a great option for home security because it has several capabilities, such as customisable settings, motion detection, and pan and tilt control. One thing to keep in mind is that, depending on where you choose to put it, you might need an extension wire. Still, given everything else this camera offers, that's a minor inconvenience. No rivals even come close to offering as many features for the price. It's ideal for monitoring things, and you can truly customise it to meet your own needs because to the amount of customisation options.Extremely advisable

Good picture follows any movement
Can find nothing to complain about. Easy set up bright light. Does what it says. I chose to use a storage card and not the cloud for footage. Good night vision and spotlight.

Easy to use and value for money.
I bought this latest camera to replace a static Tapo camera I had and it joins a few others already set up. These cameras are pretty simple to set up, following the instructions and not really a challenge for a less tech savvy person either. It provides great quality footage of visitors and passers by, which the user can choose to include or ignore. Basically choose the area you want the camera to video and the areas you don’t. It will simply video the selected areas or not take any footage of areas you don’t. Simple.Mine’s connected to the mains and has a 32gb sd card for recordings, which is plenty for a minute or two loop recording. So it will record 30 or more short clips of visits or movement before starting at the beginning again and overwriting the oldest file automatically. If there’s a file or clip you want to keep for any reason, just tap to save it as a keeper and it won’t be overwritten.Viewing live cameras through the app and from wherever you are (with a signal) is also easy, as is changing the number of cameras you can view at the same time on screen. Good value for money.

Good camera with some issues
I have an indoor version of this camera which has proved useful in my loft checking on mice, that we have had a problem with. I thought therefore that the waterproof version would be suitable to cover our back garden. It has proved to have some good points but also some problems.Good pointsVery easy to set up and provides very good pictures both during the day and using infra red at night. The pan and tilt function with motion tracking is useful to cover both rear doors to our property. We have been able to see the fox at night. With an SD card fitted there is no need for a subscription to the online service. Motion detection is said to be able to separate a person from other motion. I have recording set to only record on detecting motion and an alert can be sent to the app on a phone. The TC41 is also equipped with two way audio and extra lights to give full colour even at night if required.Problem areasYou can set a privacy zone which to block the camera view. However, this is just a black square covering an area of the screen which stays in the same place on the screen as you pan the camera. It is not a privacy area covering a part of the total viewing area of the camera. You can as an alternative adjust detection areas so only motion in those areas is detected but this will not stop recordings being made over the whole area.Motion detection is the biggest problem. Detection is based on changes occurring in the picture frame. This can be caused by anything moving. That includes rain and spiders. Motion tracking goes wild when it rains as the camera tries to track rain drops! Motion tracking also seems to be poorer following a firmware update. Some rain motion will even be detected as a person moving. At least you know whether it has rained overnight! This is apparently more of a problem with the infra red overnight. I have not tried the camera with the lights on permanently overnight to avoid the IR being used. At present I do not have alerts set because this camera would totally unsuitable to give a potential security warning. It is not clear whether the supposedly AI discrimination of motion described in the description is based in the camera or only available when you subscribe to the online service. It appears that if you need a camera to give accurate security alerts you need a camera with PIR detection.More recent comments after further use:Subscription makes no difference to the accuracy of motion detection or discrimination.I have moved the camera to shelter under our very deep eaves to try and reduce the problems caused by rain detection. This has improved things a bit but I have now encountered a problem with fog that causes even more problem than rain. Fog is small droplets that drift and reflect the infra red and are detected as movement. Multiple detections during the night, even with detection set for only person detection, very often the camera (if motion tracking is on) left pointing at the floor. Would be impossible to set the alarm function or rely on accurate alerts.I have come to the conclusion that I will have to set the camera to day mode and use separate PIR controlled lights to avoid the use of the infra red lights on the camera. Alternatively you have to make changes to the setup of the camera for weather conditions on an almost daily basis..I also think that the speed of alert being sent to a phone would not really allow a remote conversation with someone at the door.
