Very well done weighted friend for your child or for yourself. These weighted pets provide a calming weight on you or your child's lap. It has helped my anxious 8 year old! We put it on her during storms or other stressful times and there is improvement in her ability to regulate her emotional responses.Pros:-ADORABLE!! The cats eyes are so cute and look perfect.-Weight is completely disturbed evenly thought the pet. And also doesn't "bunch" up or move with use.- Has a raised material for the belly that sensory seekers to stroke and focus on during stressful times. This has helped my eight year old a lot because she says it is something she can immediately focus on rather than whatever is stressing her out.-Well made, the stitching will handle young kids' abuse well. Also has a zipper you can use to remove the shell for washing.-There is plenty of room inside the shell (where the weights are) to store chew necklaces, fidget toy, or other stress reliver items.-This company really thought of special needs kids when designing this blanket. Not just young ones, but for example my 8 year old still struggles with her emotions and now that she is older she recognizes that some of the things she struggles with isn't the "norm". The company includes a postcard with descriptions of the "likes and dislikes" of each blanket. It is the dislikes that my 8 year-old immediately related too! She read the card and was like, "Mom, it says Ehno doesn't like crowds or getting up early, and neither do I." That made her feel related too even though she feels isolated because her peers seem to thrive with things like that.Cons:-Haven't really found any.All in all, this is beyond worth investing in for any high needs child or family member!

It’s a lovely tool to have on hand for those tough moments. It can bring a comfort and/or help them sit and focus.

Weighted bear my son loves at night when he is sleeping

I'm a full grown adult person and this is perfect for me. It's big enough that it doesn't fall off my lap or scrunch off one leg. It's about a third of the weight of my cat, but it's a very similar calming effect as him sitting on my lap. I can focus on what I'm trying to do, the racing thoughts slow down, and I'm not bouncing so much that I distract myself. Not only is it great for work, but also for just sitting comfortably to read a book or watch tv. It's very pleasant.The weight is good. The fabric is soft. It has a zipper so you can remove the weighted insert to either replace it or to wash the cover. The insert doesn't slide around inside the cover and the sand in it is very quiet.

We love The Peace Pets. The story background for the characters is icing on the cake. The details in the weighted lap buddy is amazing. I love the small squares to evenly distribute the weight through the buddy. Super easy to clean. Can't wait to collect them all for all three of my kiddos.

My niece likes to use heavy adult size blankets to sleep in. Having a heavy blanket on her gives her a sense of security and she feels warm and safe. She started using the unicorn and likes it a lot. It seems to help her relax. We got the 5lb one that is filled and I think it's a good weight, not too heavy and not too light. I tried using it when watching TV and it actually feels really relaxing and was making me sleepy. The cover is also very pretty and soft like velvet.

So this is just a cover for a lap pad. They make it sound like it comes prefilled but it is actually empty. They don't specify that until the very end of the description. So this is basically just a cover that you could put on a pillow or a lap pad. You however could very well make an easy weighted lap pad for it. Just take some Ziploc bags and some stuffing and you could distribute the weight evenly with either some beads beans or rice. They're actually not that hard to make. Overall this is made very very well it's very beautiful and very bright. And will work for what I need it for.
