Just funny
If you enjoyed the first one and the spin off "My like in ruins" ( brilliant film) , then you will enjoy this sequel , set in Greece it comes with all the wonderful madness you get with Greeks and their cousins . It's not Shakespeare it's not meant to be , sit down grab some nibbles and a drink and just enjoy a simple funny film .

A fun sequel.
While not as good as the classic original which frequently had me in stitches, this genuine sequel was fun. I thought it was about Tula getting her own daughters wedding planned, little did I realise the 17 year old daughter was just a small side plot and the main focus was on Tula's mother. That's really the best I can put it without giving away big spoilers, then again if you've read the plot then you don't need to worry anyway. It was great to see all the main characters back, and even though there were 1 or 2 things which didn't need to be in the movie, they basically felt shoehorned in, and if they were taken out no one would notice, it was a nice watch. I think I'll stick with the original. As nice as it was to watch a teen girl character on screen who for once wasn't moody or bitchy or dissed guys (and those types of girls are in movies too often these days) I think the movie could have been slightly better if they had focused on the daughter more.Anyway, if like me you like a fun PG rated family comedy without sex or frequent swearing (which are other unneeded things which are in movies too often and I'm pretty sure are only in movies for juvenile boys) then I'm sure you will have fun watching this movie.Original is still better, but I gave this one 4 stars because I felt that was fair, though if I could it would be just under 4 stars. The original is a 4.5.

Better than the first one
Better than the original as it is no longer just an outsiders view of a "foreign family" displaying their own idiosyncratic lunacies. After all whose family isn't nuts when viewed from outside (I'm sure the Adams family took me hostage as soon as I was born!). This update is more human as its issues cross nationality and religous boundaries so draws you in, making you so much more than just an observer.Don't get me wrong, the family is still nuts, but somehow less a Greek version of a 'Brian Rix farce' and more of a "yep, my family does that too".Still love Aunt Voula the best, but its very nice to see some of the minor characters from film 1 having a bigger role in film 2.I think this has mileage to go for film 3 but they need to do it quickly as some acotrs are just "... looking so old ..." :-)

Brilliant
Great to get a film that's old just when I want it. Thanks Amazon.

Unimpressive rerun of the previous movie
I was not expecting much but really... some new jokes would have been nice. Instead they have just rehashed the same movie with an added dose of sugary sentimentality. I would not advise watching this unless you are a massive fan of the first one.

I ordered this film to watch as I'd seen the first one and enjoyed it so I wanted to see the sequel. I've been so busy not had chance to watch it yet.
