TEKTON 7610 Telescoping Lighted Magnetic Pick-Up Tool

Does the job and great to pick up metal products with the magnet in tight areas

Rarely do I make a purchase where I say to myself "I would have paid ten times more for this than it cost!". Well, this product induced me to have that rare thought. This thing is amazing, it picks up stuff (i'm always trying to retrieve dropped hearing aid batteries, which are tiny, elusive, hard to see on my hardwood floors and highly dangerous to children and animals if swallowed), it has a bright light that can be turned on, and it telescopes. I just noticed that it is also sold by a Michigan company (& I am a Michigan resident), so that commends it as well. The price for this multi-functional well designed and manufactured item is unbelievably low. Pick one up before they wise up and start charging more for this wonderful gizmo.

Has already proven invaluable. A nut fell through my car engine as I was doing some maintenance, and I was able to find and grab it easily with this. The magnet is very strong -- which is a little tough with the car because it wants to attache itself to all kind of places.It also "found" a small metal object that went under my bench. The extension seems pretty well made, but I would try very hard not to bend it, as I'm not sure it would withstand such treatment.

The light didn't work straight out of the package. I didn't send it back or complain, not worth my trouble. I still gave it a 3-star rating because I wasn't really looking for the light feature. I just wanted the pick-up tool. I have quit a few Tekton tools, this is the first one I have had much of an issue with other than personal preference type issues. I guess that's why they don't sell this item on the Tekton website anymore.
