I was looking for a birthday gift for my husband. He loves to try different rums especially when we travel. This book gives so much valuable information about different types of rum. It also provides a detailed history of rum. Pretty awesome gift for the rum lover in your life. Highly recommended.

Got this for my parents for Christmas.The only thing they would tell me they wanted was a bottle of rum. So I bought the best bottle I could find, and this book. Turns out they really enjoyed the book. Not sure about the rum though.

Broom’s study of the history, manufacture, and base ingredients used in Rum are worth the read for any distiller, but even more impressive, is his description of ‘Tasting’ rum. Well written Sir!

I really enjoyed this book. I know that tasting notes are very subjective, but the idea of scoring each rum in terms of common mixers is very useful. The historical information is OK, but not great. I thoroughly recommend this book.

Great book about all things rum. I really liked all the types of rums and recommendations on how to pair them.

i liked how through the book was and how much info i was able to learn.I dont see many good books on the overall subject of rum.i like the feel of the book too.

I am a whisky lover who does not know much about rum. This is a good intro . I will use this as a guide to try some rums.
