Because this battery was a joke. Didn't even last a month. Now it doesn't charge. I should of kept my money and bought an actual milwaukee long life battery.Lesson learned. Don't make the mistake I did.

Like many folks I was looking for an affordable replacement battery for my Milwaukee M-18 tools. Many of my Milwaukee OEM batteries have gone dead shortly after the three-year warranty expired. Why pay a silly high price for replacement junk Milwaukee OEM batteries when they fail in such a short time. Even though these are half the cost of Milwaukee batteries they were a disappointment. When they arrived, I was taken how much smaller they were than the OEM Milwaukee’s. OEM Milwaukee 12 ma battery and Gerit 12 ma side by side in photo. I charged them overnight and used the next morning with a blower. The first one went dead in less than half the time of the typical Milwaukee. The second Gerit battery failed about as fast as the first. I like Milwaukee M-18 tools but their silly expensive OEM batteries are junk. The search for a suitable replacement continues.

After three months of light residential use this item would not charge or hold a charge. I spent literally 2+hours on the Amazon website and with their customer service people trying to find a way to contact the seller, to no avail. They say on the item page, and I quote "all GERIT BATT products offer 30 days money back and 12 months service from purchase date with professional 24/7 service team." Yet there is no way to contact them, it seems. In my mind, borders on fraud, run from this seller as fast as you can. Zero stars would be too many.

You can't replace a Milwaukee battery,you just cant,I purchased two of these,tried one in my leafblower,lasted maybe 20 mins,my reason for purchase was the price,I have used them in my drills and other light tools,which they work great for,if your looking for big battery cheap,and to finish a job?yes I recommend these,but if you think you are going to get a lot of continuous "heavy work" done then no these are not for you,side by side they are alot smaller then the Milwaukee batt,you get what you pay for.......

Ordered this based on price and reviews. When i open this open i was immedatly disappointed because it was about half the soze of a geniune 12,ah battery. I thought it myself why not give it a chance so i charged it up to full and proceeded to use in my leaf blower. It was dead in less then 20mins. My 8.0 ah battery runs longer. buyer beware..

These batteries can’t be a real 12ah battery, a genuine 6ah battery out preforms these by at least twice as long. Guess you get what you pay for.
