Q: Does it cover the area where they need to go toilet for my male cat

No it dosent, my cat is male and gets on with it ok...only thing i found was i needed to leave it open a little bit at rear otherwise it makes him 'mince' a bit 😉

Q: Can the cat still wee and poo with this on

Yes they can. This was the best suit I had fir kyn as you can tighten the neck so they can't riddle out of it. Make sure you measure the cats back,neck to tail.
