Aging with Honor: A Practical Guide to Help You Honor Your Parents as They Age Paperback – March 12, 2013

Aging with Honor helped my siblings, parents and I make sure we covered all of the bases when we discussed future plans. It was almost like having a facilitator there with us as we navigated what could have been a difficult discussion. Using Aging with Honor to plan some of the "beyond 65" logistics was incredibly helpful. You know it is a good tool when it can explain Medicare simply - that was worth the purchase alone! It gave tips and facts that I had not thought of previously and provided spaces to capture important data. I don't know of another book that serves as helpful a guide and workbook in one. Would have liked to have had tear-out pages for the "workbook" pages...but then again, it is nice to have everything in one place. Worth the money!!

The book, “Aging with Honor” was a very informative book, not only for the elderly, but for those that are caregivers. The writer asks and discusses some sensitive questions that most people are not willing to discuss and brings caring for the elderly to the forefront. The worksheets and pictures helped in understanding the importance of caring for the elderly and the impact it has on all those involved. In addition, it discusses death benefits and options. Knowledge gives one power and the freedom to make a decision that would be beneficial for all those that are affected. Mark provides that information in the book, “Aging With Honor”. Some of the disclaimers were explained that are not normally mentioned when applying for Social Security and other benefits. I would highly recommend “Aging With Honor”, it opens the door to a sensitive topic for all. Aging with Honor is one of the best resources I've seen for helping plan ahead for caring for your parents or a loved one. My Aunt is in hospice in Florida and when my cousin called to ask what to do -- these questions & worksheets were so valuable. It's a tough subject to approach with my family, but I'm so impressed with the suggestions offered. Great resource!! and a great value!!
