Strong but tough to fit
This is a brilliant strap, nice thick brown leather with a black suede liner. The black suede is shedding a few bits but I think these will very quickly disappear, I ran a vacuum cleaner head over it then wore it on top of a white t-shirt and there were no bits on my shirt afterwards. There is one problem (maybe two) which many other reviews have touched on, although having fitted the strap it also makes me feel very secure when playing my bass guitar. The problem, or problems, are the thickness and stiffness of the leather and, perhaps, the size of the button holes. If the leather was thinner the holes might be the right size but as it is fitting the strap is very difficult. I think the thickness of the leather doesn't help as it is thicker than the strap buttons are designed to take.I eventually found the easy answer. I removed the strap buttons from my guitar and, one at a time, screwed them upside down to a bit of scrap wood (see the photo). This then allowed me to put my weight behind the strap and only have to push it over the smaller end of the button; when I did this the strap popped straight on. I did use a tea spoon handle to get the strap sitting on the buttons as I wanted it to, this is where the thickness of the leather caused difficulties as the buttons aren't designed for this thickness, however I got there very quickly.Once the buttons are screwed back on to the guitar I feel very secure that the strap won't fall off, something that has happened to me in the past when using poor quality straps. As you can probably tell I never remove the strap, whilst thick is is flexible enough to go into my guitar case without any difficulties.I highly recommend this strap, the width spreads the load on my shoulder, I doubt it will perish like man-made material straps and I have absolute confidence that it won't fall off and drop my guitar. Just be prepared for a bit of a fight to get the strap on to your guitar.

Leather guitar strap
Bought as a present for my husband and he was really pleased with it. Lovely quality leather and I was happy that it was British made. A little bit tough getting the strap on but soon sorted. Size wise, my hubbie is 6'3" and it was for a bass guitar. The strap is on it's longest setting.

This was a present so am appraising from their perspective.
This was a Christmas present so I'm unable to give a true appraisal. The recipient assures me it was as he expected so I'm quite confident to recommend this strap to anyone who is thinking if buying it.

Very difficult to put on guitar
I’ve played guitar for over 40 years and have had many straps. This one is the worst I have had for fitting onto the strap studs of the guitar. I know that the initial fitting will be stiff because of the newness of the leather but this is ridiculous. I have been trying to put the strap on and off many times to try and loosen it and it is still far to stiff. Also there is no re-enforcement stitching around the holes as I have on other straps. Apart from this fundamental problem the strap itself appears to be decent quality but that’s not much good if you can’t fit it.

Beautiful strap
Difficult to convey just how much better this is than a regular thin synthetic strap. It's extremely tough and secure, it smells fabulous and it's fully adjustable (it's a two-piece loop-back strap, fully stitched, with two button-holes). It provides a softer shoulder-feel than a cheap strap, and far more friction - your guitar simply won't slip down at all when you let go of the neck, no matter what angle it's at. I'm very temped to pick up a spare; wouldn't want to go back to stock straps after this.

Fantastic value.
Great strap. Great price. Comfortable and paired with Jim dunlop Loks, secure. No more need be said. Except I had to add some more words because Amazon wouldn't accept the review unless I met the minimum word requirement. So I have. The preceding two sentences, and of course this one.
