First time painting
Great gun for the money as a DIYer. First time painting and I had great results (after watching countless youtube videos) . Good build quality compared to the $17 harbor freight purple gun (which leaked). I sprayed base and clear on this gun. Overall satisfied with my outcome and feel of it.

Good value
It was a very good fun and worked well for my auto paint. It was fine for base and clear, but I needed a larger needed for my DTM Primer. I wished it would come with a few needles, but overall good product.

Works really great
Great paint gun for the price I painted my car with it. I recommend it for small compressors,

BE EXTRA CAREFUL WITH THE AIR ADJUSTMENT KNOB!!!
For what it is, it sprays good and gets the job done. However i’ve owned a 2 R500’s (basically the same gun just older model) and on all of these spray guns the air adjustment knob is very very cheap and easy to break. I’d suggest just opening it all the way and never touching it again and regulating air with a regulator (I used a regulator however i was playing with the knob for some clearance with my regulator and it snapped every time.)

Excellent finish low CFM
Gun performed exceptionally! It was my first time painting a car and with the help of this spray gun it was a success. It sprayed base and clear very well and I’m sure it would have sprayed primer fine but I did not try it cause I only had the 1.3 nozzle. To give an idea of the CFM needed I sprayed base at around 20psi and clear around 28psi using a small 8 gallon compressor with a 1.5 HP motor capable of producing 4.1 CFM and spraying the whole body of my Honda civic I never needed to stop to build up air or even had a pressure drop. The compressor ran a lot but that was expected and not an issue. For me I can easily believe that this gun only requires 3.5 to 3.9 CFM to produce a great finish. If you want more tips on the yt-160 look up “garage noise” on YouTube. He has some great videos on this gun and the older version which is the R500.

Poor Quality
Should have known better than to think a cheap paint gun would work. I tried this 4 different times and couldn't reduce the back pressure enough to prevent back pressure from pushing primer out of the cup. If you never let off the trigger it will spray a decent pattern, but that is not effective.
