Among my favorite pens
The Junlai (Wingsung, Yongshen, etc) 630 pens are among the best Chinese made pens I've come across. For the price, these pens are amazing. I loved the first one I got so much that I had to come back and get them in other colors. I have 3 so far and all of them have been very solid. The large #8 nibs are very smooth and nice and juicy. All 3 have been very solid. I wish they had a broader range of colors; I'd probably get them in every color. I know at this price point, you can worry about quality control and it's a very valid concern as I've bought other chinese fountain pens where the QC just hasn't been great, they are so cheap, you can almost consider them disposable. But after having bought 3 of these so far, all 3 have been of excellent quality so far. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.NOTE! Just be aware these are piston fillers. These do not work with cartridges or converters. You will need a bottle of fountain pen ink to use this pen which is not included. These pens do not come with ink.

Almost a Montblanc 149? Maybe not but a terrific fountain pen!
This fountain pen is a delight..... and supported by superb service and value. Thank you so much.More or less a copy of the Montblanc 149 it doesn't have the same luxurious feel and the nib isn't gold but buy one! You'll really enjoy a classy writing experience in a pen that might become your daily carry - which the 149 isn't because, were I to lose it, a replacement would be around 800 pounds sterling.Be careful when you first take it out of the box. It's so shiny and slippery but after 2 days' writing that clean finish will lessen and it becomes totally normal to the touch and very comfortable.

Very good quality in general, but ink flow is poor.
Overall quality is excellent (the resin, the threads, clip etc). There is however a certain issue with the ink flow coming to the nib. I did not find in the nib if it is an F or an M nib but, in any case, when I make rapid traces, the ink flow is interrupted and the writing does not look continuous. I tried two different inks: Pelikan brilliant brown and Parker blue black. I tried to tune the pen. The ink flow improved. Now I have no complaints, but I would prefer a little more wet nib for this pen.

Best MB159 alternative I have seen under $300
Best Chinese large nib piston filler I have found. Ink flow is excellent and nibsize workable. Ink windows is a nice touch in the ribbed version. The flexibility and feedback of this nib makes you wonder why people say 14k nibs are worth the money. If you want to pay 10x for that 1% better gold nib experience...well ok. Fit and finish on the pen is fantastic for the $. The contrast between the two tone nib finishes is a bit dim, but scrollwork is top notch given the price point.

A Great Writing Pen
At first glance this is just another large cigar-shaped pen, but it exceeds expectations and stands apart from the usual crowd. The fit and finish of the pen are quite nice, and the detailing on the large number 8 nib is well done. The piston ink-filling system is smooth and capable of holding a lot of ink. There is a large window for monitoring the remaining ink level. The ink window is completely hidden when the pen is capped. When writing the cap can be posted without imbalancing the pen, but posting is not required for holding comfortably in your hand. The cap unscrews in about a turn and a quarter. The pen has a medium steel nib which is smooth and a bit more springy than I expected. An unexpected bonus is the piston wrench included in the box, which helps with thoroughly cleaning the pen. With the available range of pen colors and nib sizes you can afford to buy several to match your writing needs.

Cool
Amazing massive pen for this price instead of buying a Montblanc. The nib is soft a little I guess like a gold one. Writes smoothly with line variation when pressing.

I want to love this pen.
The pen is beautiful with good build quality generally. The pen has nice weight. That said, the pen came with misaligned tines and constantly hard starts. The nib is smooth with mild feedback. It's great when it works, but often fails to write until more pressure is put on it. I assume there is an issue with the feed, contact between the nib and feed or worse, rounded tipping material (i.e., the dreaded baby's bottom issue, a.k.a. poor QC).Edit: I received the replacement and it's perfect. Will update if I have an issue. All my issues from the previous pen aren't present here. That said, replacement was no big deal, but inconvenient. My main worry would be how many are lemons percentage-wise. I'd be livid if I got the gold nib version for 150 USD and it had the issues I experienced.

good writer but poor cap thread quality
this pen feel fabulous in the hand and writes well. The only complaint I have is with the threads on the cap. When I screw the cap to the body, they only screw in about 3/4 turn before I feel some galling. Screwing the cap on further is rough as if the threads were molded poorly. while the writing experience is quite nice, the thread quality is off putting. I own two of these and both have this cap to body fit problem.
