I bought the SEALSKINZ Beetley head gaiter hat for hiking and cycling in unpredictable weather and it has quickly become one of my go to pieces of kit. It is lightweight, breathable and surprisingly comfortable even when worn for hours at a time. The material feels high quality and the fit is secure without being too tight. The waterproofing really works. I wore it in heavy rain on a long walk and it kept my head and neck dry while still allowing heat to escape. It also does a great job of blocking wind, which makes a big difference on colder days. What I like most is the versatility. It works as a hat, a gaiter, or tucked under a helmet for extra protection. It packs down small so it is easy to keep in a pocket or rucksack. It is not the cheapest option, but the build quality and performance make it worth the investment. If you spend time outdoors in all conditions this is a reliable piece of headwear that will keep you comfortable and protected.

Nice and warm, lightweight and Waterproof. Worn at - 15°c in Finland and just didn't feel the cold at all.

Pro’s It doesn’t necessarily get you warm, but it does stop you from getting cold. The lining and the thickness are balanced well to stop you getting wet and to stop the wind. It is waterproof. The size is big enough to be comfortable and adjustable, without getting in the way of everything else. You can’t put a cap on top of it, but you can put a cap under it. It’s easy to use. Just put it on first before you put a second layer on like a hoodie etc, as the neck is long enough to just sit on your shoulders Negatives If you’re self conscious, it does look a little odd, but for walking the dogs, or hiking, you’re absolutely fine The elastic adjusters on the size need a small loop of material to tuck them under. I looked in the mirror and sticking out to the side, they reminded me of dog whiskers On the grey version, the mask is black. I wish it was grey like the rest of the item I wish there was a slightly lighter and less rigid version. This one is great for cold winter, but maybe a lighter version for the more miserable milder english winters where you don’t need quite as much protection for as long Conclusion If you don’t really mind looking slightly odd, and want something to keep the cold of winter away from your head (except the area around your eyes), this is a really good option.

Excellent does a super job

Very effective, so toasty and warm and has protected hair and kept it dry on many occasions. Worth the money if you’re outdoors a lot you will get good use out of it.

Amazing. Warm and dry. Wear a hood over it for cheating the wind almost completely. Walking the dog in the wind and rain is less of a problem now.

Siccome piove troppo ultimamente, mi serviva un passamontagna sotto il casco ( uso lo scooter) È veramente utile per queste giornate, non mi fa bagnare i capelli e mi protegge un sacco. Sono molto contenta dell'acquisto. Arrivato in tempo e in ottime condizioni. Grazie

Hält richtig gut warm und trocken.

Habe mir diese Haube für das tägliche Radfahren im Winter gekauft und bin rundum begeistert! Sie sitzt perfekt, hält warm, ohne dass man darunter schwitzt. Leichten Regen hat sie auch vollständig abgehalten. Sie macht den Eindruck, auch starke Güsse auszuhalten. Werde berichten, sobald ich entsprechende Erfahrugen gemacht habe. Die Haube lasst sich mit Schnürungen an die Kopf- / Gesichtform anpassen. Das Kinn- / Mund-/ Nasenteil lässt sich auch an den Kältegrad anpassen. Natürlich kann man nicht völlig frei atmen, wenn man es ganz hoch zieht, aber durch die porige Struktur im Bereich der Nase kommt für mäßige Anstrengung noch genug Luft durch. Das Stirnteil reicht bei mir bis an die Augenbrauen (57 cm Kopfumfang, Größe S/M bestellt). Einziger Nachteil: als Kontaklinsentrger muss ich auch im Winter immer mit Radbrilen fahren und diese beschlagen bei feuchtem Wetter, wenn man halten muss. Aber das liegt in der Natur der Sache und das lässt sich daher nur verhindern, indem man das Kinnteil etwas weiter herunterzieht. Alles in allem eine perfekte Haube, die sicher auch beim Skifahren sehr gute Dienste leistet. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!
