Works well but son has to work on his aim

Got this for my wife as a gift and she absolutely loves it. We both do. We enjoy cutting up carrots or other small veggies and sling shotting them out in the open field by our house for the chipmunks. We also like setting up bottles or cans and slinging carrots or other small veggies at them for target practice.

Fun to focus on on that perfect aim when I don't have my bow in my hand.

Look, this works fine. The triple band is new to me, but seems to generate significantly more power for the same draw. It is a perfectly serviceable entry level, learn to shoot slingshot.But…it ain’t a long term one. The build feels a bit cheap. The linkage for the wrist brace is super loose so it’s hard to have it indexed in your arm the same way every time. There’s a screw on the bottom that tightens a bit, but no where near enough to stabilize the brace. It’s more to aim the incredibly cheap laser pointer flashlight. Which also means the laser isn’t indexed to the centerline and you will need to adjust it regularly. A fixed mount may not point exactly on target for your aim, but will be consistent across your shots. If you always hit right of the dot, adjust the dot.The metal for the body of the catapult feels cheap. Again, that’s fine if this is a starter slingshot to learn with before you upgrade to a forever model.I will say the magnets on the brace are nice. I have an ammo pouch for my belt, but having quick access for a few rounds is nice when practicing.Speaking of practicing. May I suggest grabbing some non-steel bearings? Clay rounds are great for practice as they will either shatter on impact or degrade when it rains. Seel shot will just sit there because you will not find them all. U less your other hobby is metal detecting.

4 stars. The biggest issue is that the components are cast and fracture easily. In my case the bottom allen key was loose and when the strap was pried against it broke the cast retainer part. Another issue i had, which to me was not a big deal was that the magnets were not strong enough to hold the ammo when fired.

Well made, grandson loves it.
