These have been a life saver for our 14 yr old elder dog. He slipped on the stairs and we needed something to help his grip and stabilize him. Our dog hasn't slipped since installation. You can barely see these on the stairs which I like and they don’t collect dirt or haven’t discolored at all. We have had them for a few months.I do wish that there were 2 more strips. I picked up the Thunder Grip stair treads to add some safety to our outdoor steps, and they’ve been excellent so far. The grip is super strong — you can really feel the traction underfoot, and it definitely gives you more confidence walking up and down, especially when it’s wet. I got them mainly for my parents and our dog, and it’s made a noticeable difference in stability and safety.Installation was quick and easy. The adhesive is really solid, and once they’re down, they stay put — even through rain and temperature changes. These feel way more secure than rubber mats that tend to shift around. The glow-in-the-dark feature is a nice bonus too, especially at night when lighting is low around the steps.What I like most is how versatile they are. I’ve used them on the back deck, some wooden steps by the garage, and even a ramp we have. They stick well to every surface I’ve tried so far, and the grit holds up. If you’re looking for a way to boost safety around the house without much effort, these are a smart buy.

I didn’t think I would like these as much as I do. I bought them because my dog was slipping coming down my wood stairs and was hesitating. I made sure to deep clean and let the wood completely dry, then installed them. I thought they’d be a pain in the butt to put down evenly, but the backing comes off quickly and easily, and you can reposition quick if you need to. Best part is they haven’t budged a centimeter since putting them down (over 5 months so far). They also feel fine under bare feet so they make me feel more secure too. They are not quite invisible, but damn near close. Would highly recommend!

I purchased these for our back deck just before winter in 2024. I like the tread design as they provide traction, but as we have dogs, it doesn't hurt their paws. To place these is pretty simple, peel the backing and adhere to the surface. It does recommend cleaning and i would highly advise anyone to do that ahead of time.To get the most from this, take the roll out of the package and let it lie in a sunny spot to "flatten" out. It makes it easier to peel and stick. My only complaint would be these are not very effective for older decks. If you have decks/wooden stairs with weathering and cracking you have two options. Either consider a different product or help to hold these down with either trim or roofing tacks. Mine began to peel on the windy side as our deck stairs are 8 years old. Despite a good cleaning and ample time to dry, the adhesion broke down due to cracks in the wood where debris, water, and wind could seep. I have modified them by using roofing tacks, but not everyone will have that preference.

I used these on thresholds in my house where we can't put rugs and my old dog is slipping. They make a huge difference. They were easy to install myself and don't look bad. They work as intended.

My dogs barrel down our laminate stairs and they can't seem to get a grip, which has resulted in some minor injuries. As a result, I was looking for something to help improve the grip and maybe prevent terrible slips and falls. I considered a lot of carpeted options and small strips, but didn't want to give up the "look" of our stairs plus I hate carpet. This product really stood out so - despite some doubts - I ordered.Let me quickly express my doubts: I wasn't sure about the efficacy of them in terms of grip, they use an adhesive so I was worried about residue or ruining the step underneath, and I worried about ease of installation (getting them straight, what if I mess up, will there be bubbles), and finally I worried that they'd be unsightly.Well, they were incredibly easy to install and adjust to get them on straight. The coverage is more than a small grip strip but not the entire step, so that's a consideration. They cover the entire width, end to end, on my stairs. The grip is actually incredibly right - not too grippy and aggressive but enough to make the difference going down the stairs in socks. The pups are going up and down with confidence. The adhesive isn't aggressive - I unpeeled one to see; no residue. However this may change long term, idk - but for now it works well enough that I'll hit it with goo gone if there's residue.The really nice thing about this product is that it works super well but it's also basically invisible. I took photos so you can see - the only reason you can see them at an angle is because my foyer has a window that puts direct sunlight at an angle, so it reflects on the grip. Even then it's barely noticeable. From above it's just invisible.I appreciate this product and how good it is. I recommend it, in fact. Hopefully this review will help you with whatever doubts you might have.
