Take your glasses off!
Tried this, and initially thought "what a load of rubbish!" Then happened to look at it without my glasses and it's quite bright and defined - turns out I have UV reduction coating on my glasses, and it blocks out purple light! A fun little light for the grandkids though, so can't complain for the price!
