PHILIPSUltinon Access LED car headlight bulb (Fog H8/H9/H16), ultra-compact direct-fit, 80%, 6.000K, set of 2

Ok first thing to say is that nowhere did it say these are Canbus error free so I was expecting a fault to show.... and it did...On my car that is no big deal. Start the car, error msg "low beam failure" pops up.. press the "ok" button on the stalk and its gone. No engine management light at any time and a one second fix. At some point I will probably buy the philips canbus corrector but at around £30 Im in no rush.Next the important part. Performance. Very very easy to fit.. bulbs have instant start up when switched on. The beam pattern is identical to the nightbreaker bulbs they replaced as far as I see. My car has projector headlights. The beam spread is more even and solid to my eyes. Driving with them is an altogether better experience over halogens. They light up road signs without the reflected glare of halogens. They illuminate the road in a more effective way for me. They dont appear "brighter"than halogens on the road surface but the white beam colour is far better at picking out what you need to see in my opinion. Its easier on the eyes.The cut off on the beam is spot on and no way a problem for oncoming drivers.My headlights look great and these bulbs have transformed my car to looking more modern and clean. If they last the 1500 hours promised they are well worth the money over nightbreakers. I shall be buying the H9 for main beams next. Yes I know they are not "road legal" in the UK .. and if they were in anyway inferior to halogens or posed a problem for blinding other drivers they would go. They dont.. they work brilliantly.. they are better than halogen and for me represent a safer drive. I will switch them out at MOT time.I have not driven them in rain or snow as yet but expect they will deliver the same quality performance.

They have got the balance just right. They fit without any issues or extra wiring. They are bright enough without blinding. I have used them for over three months. No errors.

It's a minefield trying to upgrade to LED bulbs, so many choices from a flood to the market of horrible quality items, I thought it was important to get a brand name. I dont know why this doesn't average 5 star, but from what ive read people are upset that they aren't road legal technically in the UK, or, I can only assume they are installing them the wrong way (there is a right and wrong way)To that, the LED diodes need to be face left and right, NOT up and down. You want the beam to be spread, which should be obvious.No, they aren't certified in the UK, but for how easy they are to install, if youre that concerned, swap out to standard halogens come MOT time.The performance; they actually transformed a MK3 Fabia with projector headlights, from being so poor at night on standard bulbs that I didnt want to drive at night, to being nearly as good as a 2019 A6 and 2024 Kamiq we also run, both of these cars have factory LED headlights, and while I wasn't expecting this, these Philips LED's are comparable to those. Maybe not quite as sharp of a beam cut-off, but the throw of light is nearly as good.No error messages either, I wasn't expecting that either. I thought id have to plug in VCDS or similar to permanently remove the error, but there are none, at least in our Fabia, so im assuming any VW group car of a similar era would be okay also.The fitting is just the same as a normal bulb, no bulkier. These are also really good value, I just cant speak for their longevity or reliability, only time will tell. They do seem very well made, so the signs are good.

These are not an improvement over quality halogen bulbs.The light that they project onto the road is blueish and not as bright as standard halogen bulbs that your headlights were originally designed. In rain, fog and dirty road during winter in uk these are not as good as standard halogen bulbs. All the upgrade is that they make your car look modern but performance is weak, even worse then oem bulbs. Not worth the price or effort.

The media could not be loaded. Excellent bulbs which provide excellent visibility on the road. They give the car a nice and modern look with a similar beam pattern and cut off line as halogens as they are compatible with reflector type headlights (remember to face led chips at 9 and 3 to get the correct beam pattern). They shine a nice bright white light which helps you stay safe on the road. So far not been flashed by anyone as these bulbs do not blind oncoming traffic. 10/10.

In comparison to some aftermarket H4 replacement LED lights they are not as bright, the beam pattern though is excellent and are brighter than Halogen Osram Night breakers.Overall good but not as bright as some.Fitted to my Hyundai i10 2015

I have Auris 2015 Gen 2 facelift hybrid. Using HIR2 (9012) type. Tried halogen toyota sold bulbs, osram halogen, philips halogen . All crap and useless,phone flash is more help! Tried Bevinsee v45 - huge improvement and was driving at night safe with great visibility. One bulb started overheating and flickered. So found this philips bulb... This bulb is amazing! Its on warmer side but its not some chinese aftermarket so i sleep better knowing there wont be fires. This bulb is next level really.
