Darco Med-Surg Post Operative Shoe-Men XLarge

I'm really impressed with this shoe. The price is unbeatable and the quality is very good. I noticed that some other reviews said it was a little too big. The Large size goes up to a 12 and the XL size is for 12-14. I wear a 13 Mens and the XL does have a couple of inches more on the toe area, but I like it because I don't hit my toes at all when I accidentally bump anything.It is very easy to walk in and is adjustable. I didn't have any trouble with it being too loose. I did notice a bit of a smell when I first opened the packaging. It is probably from the materials they used for the shoe and the smell does go away after a couple of days. It really feels comfortable for my foot as well as my toes.

Excellent fit and performance! I broke the last two toes on my foot and could not get a shoe on. Like other reviewers, I knew the hospital would give me a similar walking boot and tell me to stay off of it. I wish I had ordered this sooner; it was extremely comfortable and I could easily walk in it as opposed to hobbling around in one shoe on my good foot and a sock on the injured one. I got the XL and it worked great for me, I wear a 13 4E shoe normally. Best $15 I have spent in a long time. If you are like me, super picky from buying so many things that are junk or just not what you expected, you don't need to have that worry with this boot. If you are injured, buy it immediately and you can thank me later!

Much to big, gain I got wrong size in choice.

Not the best device I have found. I guess it will prevent me from kicking my toes into walls when my foot is injured, but really useless for anything other than that. Very heavy and uncomfortable outsole on this shoe. Didn't fit will either.

wide enough but really way too long.

Great shoe. Fell from the attic and broke many bones, a foot and a toe being two of them. The Emergency Room only had a medium size shoe which exposed my broken toe to being stubbed. I ordered this one for a size 14 foot. Fits great and end extends slightly past the end of my foot so that the broken toe is well protected. It is fairly easy to put on my foot using the Velcro straps.

For my needs, it worked fine. Provided a solid base for my post surgery foot so I could drive. Better than walking boot the doc gave me.
