How do i use this to make a curry and can i mix equal amounts to a mild curry powder to creat a medium curry as I don't like it to hot

You can mix mild and hot yes, or you can use less hot curry powder for a medium curry,

Has anybody noticed the texture, its like sawdust in the mouth or is this normal for this product?

It has not been cooked properly- the powder should be fried in onions and ghee (fat) before adding in curry ingredients otherwise it will taste powdery and raw
