Ray Allen Mfg Signature K9 Biothane Leash, 6-Feet x 3/4-Inch, Black

I had high hopes for this leash. I LOVE BioThane as a product, it is durable and waterproof and wonderful for dog gear. However, the finish of this particular leash left a lot to be desired. The stitching was off-center, the ends were cut and finished in a way that led me to believe that the maker didn't care about the appearance of their product. I actually had the opportunity to share this product with some friends who manufacture items with BioThane. Everyone was shocked that THIS is how someone chose to send out their product. Clearly, whoever finished this particular leash, didn't have a good working knowledge of how to finish or work with BioThane. Yes, it's held up just fine to use, but no, it's not the leash you brag about to your friends. Thankfully the price was fair.

I liked this leash very much. Its strong enough to hold my 65lb dog but I found a couple of times the clasp would somehow open up causing my dog to break free. I ignored it a couple of times...I thought it was a fluke until it happened again today. I'll be returning this

This is not a high quality item. I have had two of these leashes both 3/4 in wide in 3 and 5 feet. Both leashes have the sharp edge on the clasp. I got a cut deep enough to draw blood. This didn't bother me as much as the stitching coming apart. The 5 foot leash will soon be unusable because the handle is separating. The biothane is not as pliable as my biothane leash from cabelas. I ordered redline k9 brand leashes to replace these. I have two medium sized dogs (50-55 lbs) and one large dog (100 lbs). None are pullers.

I love these biothane leashes for professional dog training work! They look good, have a great "hand feel" with no sharp edges and a nice texture, which is something i place very high value on in my equipment; it has to handle well. Plus, the dogs can drag them through all kinds of disgusting things and you just simply wipe them off & go. They don't need care products like leather and are appealing from a moral aspect for that reason as well. They are both stitched and riveted for durability, hold up great, work in all kinds of weather and cost about the same as a moderate quality leather lead. When i thought i lost my first one i bought a second to replace it because i really didn't want to use cheaper nylon leads that hurt my hand, then found it, so now i have two 6 footers, and a 5 footer for competition and big dog work. A superior alternative to leather patrol leads in my opinion.

I have 80 lb Black Lab mix - great personality but very powerful (especially if a squirrel pops up). Our trainer suggested a biothane lead. It’s strong and very easy to use. The length is great to allow a little freedom yet still close for correction. Highly recommend!

I have a really strong German sheperd. Puppy is still learning and we are taking training lessons.My previous leash hurt my hands really bad but this one feels great to my hands and I can control my dog way better.It was recommended to me by a trainer on a fb group. I’m so glad I bought this. It’s been 4 months and is still intact. Ordering a second one just in case.

Great dog lead for all weathers. I bought this as an alternative to the leather lead and found myself reaching for this most often.It’s light, feels good in the hand and you don’t have to worry if it gets wet.Would recommend for all and especially if you’re looking to purchase your first lead for a puppy. Your fur baby can drag this through the mud and it will still look great.We use ours on a year old German Shepard that is 45kg.

This leash looks good, nice alternative to more expensive leather option. I mostly chose this one because our other leashes smell awful when they get wet... even after trying to clean them. This one repels water, so I’m really happy. Great length and width, sturdy enough to hold our German Shepherd 👍🏼

LOVE this leash!! I have 2 St Bernard's & after buying 1, I quickly ordered another. Best leash ever - almost impossible to break, even if they are pulling. Only draw back is I wish it came in pretty colors. But that's just me. My husband appreciates the plain black!

Biothane is the best material for leashes --Strong-Durable-Easy to Clean (Great material if you let leash drag on the ground)The 6ft is a great length for city/park walks.

This leash was fine for a little while, I bought in July. I noticed that when I was walking my dog sometimes when he would shake the leash would release. I thought it was the collar so I switched collars but it was still releasing. Super unsafe, I’m very lucky nothing happened! Maybe it’s a one off but this is a very dangerous malfunction to have.

I was so excited to receive this. 1h30 in, I cut myself on a sharp edge near a stitch (meh quality at best) and in30 sec of inattention on my part, my 4 month 23 pound puppy almost chewed completely through the handle... This is the most ripped off I've felt on Amazon in a long time. 30$ down the drain.
