Originally I thought to myself, "clippers are clippers, I just need something cheap." And then I decided I give something nicer a try just to see if there was a difference; there is a difference and these clippers are worth it.The primary benefits are: The sharpness of the clippers makes the cuts clean, instead of leaving the nails ragged. The clippers are sturdy.If you just want the job done you probably weren't looking at these clippers in the first place. If you can splurge a couple extra bucks for something you'll likely have and use for years then yes, this is a good choice.Personally, I would prefer to have a rounded edge for the big clippers, although it does seem that this is intentional for those people who suffer from in-grown toenails. I don't have that problem, so this isn't my preference but they are as advertised and do a great job so definitely 5 stars.

my wife saw this keratin-trimming tool when it was delivered, musta made a mental note to utilize said tool on her own appendages before I could even get the chance. well, she asked 'can I borrow your fancy new nail clippers' and i obliged. however, because I hadn't yet had the opportunity to use these clippers I couldn't have warned her how sharp the shearing blades were. I guess if you've been using countless either hand-me-downed or unknowingly acquired dollar store nail clippers for your adult life, then use these guys, you realize what you've been missing - a cleanly cut nail without the need to file or sand em down because the missus complains your hands are scratchy. At least now I know it's not my nails.As a bonus, they included a fancy little free 'goodies' offer with the only caveat that you ask via email for the fee 'goodie.' no strings attached. I sent an email on a Saturday morning to their customer service email, less than an hour later "Dani" from Harperton Direct customer service responded, got me taken care of. Good stuff.

These clippers are stout, well-made instruments. I've bought far too many cheap clippers -that have broken or failed to cut right or otherwise been less than what they should be. THESE are what clippers should be. They fit the hand (having large mitts, I appreciate a smallish tool that nonetheless works in my grasp), they cut straight and clean; the small filing surface is superior to the merely notional files so commonly added to the multitude of inferior specimens out there. The robustness of these instruments suggest that they won't need replacing anytime soon (talking about decades here), but I'd buy them again without a second thought if I lost them.It is also worthy of note that Harperton's customer service folks are great. Without going into exasperating detail, I will let it suffice to say that where Amazon fumbled and bumbled and seemed like they were trying to do everything in their power to foul things up (*ok, a little harsh, I admit-- everyone has bad days, and Amazon had one of theirs in the course of seeing this transaction through to the end), the folks at Harperton were thoughtful, forbearing, and ready to earn a customer. Well done!

Sharpest clippers I've ever found, and I'm old so I've found a lot over these many years. Does the job quickly and smoothly. No nail too tough. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. I don't know what "thickness" means on the star ratings but I gave it 5 stars because I don't want any doubt that these are fantastic. They trim thick nails with very little effort, if that's the issue. They even come with a handy, sturdy bag so that the sharp cutting surfaces won't get you when you reach in a drawer, and also to protect those cutting surfaces from getting nicked when stored, I assume. Very well thought out product. And nice customer service. You can ask for free goodies (that's their term) after your purchase, and the customer service representative is cheerful and friendly and efficient. See the insert with the clippers. I'm getting a free pair of tweezers. I expect them to be of equally good quality.

Love this set! Their sharp and het the job done. Wish they had the under-nail cleaner, though.

Fantastic set, good size for the smaller and larger pieces. I’ve gone way too long in my life with shattered nails from dollar store clippers. No more! These puppies are sharp and leave smooth cuts behind, I normally would buff out my nails after cutting by rubbing them against my jeans or other coarse fabric, out of habit I tried doing that after these clippers and I couldn’t get anything to snag at all.There is a thoughtful little yellow bag to store the clippers in, nice touch, it protects them and makes them easy to find.Also as a bonus you if you read the little insert they mail with the clippers you can find a little goodie email address and if you shoot them a note they will ship you something free! (I got the fold flat keychain clippers!) lifetime warranty, good service. You guys have a customer for life

My 2023 goal was to make life easy and comfortable. I didn’t think $15 in new nail clippers could be so worth it. The clippers are very sharp and very easy to use. I have a glass nail file I love but these cut so smooth I didn’t have to file my nails. Also to my surprise they have a very nice built in nail file on the handle. Yeah buy these and start indulging in luxury you deserve it.

Nice and sharp but they click and stick when pressed all the way down while clipping, it's not smooth. It's annoying and has messed up mails a couple times. Not sure why it does this, it appears to be good quality metal and nice weight. Only does it when fingernail is between the two pieces. Maybe it was just this set, but both the large and small clippers have the same weird glitch.
