Great Value, Excellent Quality
Absolutely worth it. This is a great quality product for the price. The desk is sturdy and the cupboards/drawers feel nice to open and close, with loads of storage space. The drawers can easily fit a 17” laptop in horizontally, which was a nice surprise. I had somewhat low expectations in buying a pine desk, but the material and finish are actually quite nice!Assembly took a while to finish (about 5 hours or so if you don’t know your way around), but the instructions are sufficient to get the job done. Some alterations to the pull-out tray fitting needed to be made as the screw markings for the tray rollers on the inside of the desk were slightly too high, but it is a minor adjustment after going through the initial assembly.I had an issue with a few of the components having dings/small scratches upon delivery, but this was quickly and professionally resolved by the seller.I recommend this product.

Solid desk. Solid decision. Take care with assembly.
So where to begin? Currently typing from my NEW CORONA STRAIGHT COMPUTER DESK and I have to say I am really loving it and it looks really good and is sturdy af :D. HOWEVER be warned it WILL take a long time to assemble like any flatpack furniture that you buy, so set aside a good 5 hours and relax into it - I suggest listening to various long piano concertos combined with some high tempo drum and bass at the end to push you through to completion. As long as you take your time and think carefully about where things need to be screwed to line up then it will all go well: I did need to screw a catch into a location that was different to the pre-drilled screw hole - be vigilant. All was going well until we realised that some screws were missing. I was about to throw the whole thing out of the window in a fit of frustration, but I needn't worry as I emailed Mercers furniture and they replied instantly, absolutely 10/10 customer service and sent me some more screws which got delayed in delivery due to corona (virus) but they still got here before I threw it out of the window so it was all really good and now it looks FAB and I am really happy and I use my desk every day. Loads of storage. It is a delight for all the senses: the feel of solid planks of wood; the smell of fresh pine - I almost can imagine that I am standing in the processing plant where fresh chunks of tree are being chopped apart. 10/10 would assemble again.

Looks great, quality’s cheap but then so is the price!
Very hard to decide a rating for this desk. It looks great when built, materials / quality are cheap, but then so is the price.Issues I had:In some cases holes and dowels don’t line up.. in one case I had to omit the dowls altogether and screw together by eye. The keyboard draw fell apart after a week due to faulty roller (so will be removed), the wood is very soft which is great for ease of assembly but also means it marks/dents very easily.. not ideal for a desk surface. The screws are extremely poor and you are recommende not to use an electric screwdriver (because even on the torque settings it WILL tear the heads apart).Despite all that.. now built it does look great and will probably last a couple of years. And let’s be honest.. at the price it’s pretty hard to complain.Only other comments, I have a regular desktop PC and it fits fine (though I did leave the back off for ventilation).. might be worth assembling with some additional wood glue since I’m not sure how long the combination of cheap screws and soft wood will hold it all together as it is.

A very nice desk
I bought the desk to replace an old one, whilst I will admit that the plans for assembly are not the clearest I have ever seen, if you study them carefully then you'll find your way around it. Allow yourself plenty of time for assembly the results are worth it.I encountered several problems with missing and damaged parts, this was wholly down to the mishandling of the parcel by the courier company. I contacted the seller about this, they could have not been more helpful, within a couple of days I had all the missing and damaged parts replaced, fantastic customer service.I would definitely recommend this desk if you're looking for one.

Okay for the price
I bought this piece of furniture to use as a dressing table. It was easy to put together if you lay out all the pieces first and follow the picture instructions. However, I am somewhat of a flat pack queen! It's a two person job. For the price it's okay, not top quality but has a good appearance. I found the bottom draw did not sit square, but if you don't look too closely it's not too much of a problem. The back of the dressing table is not solid pine, it's just thin plywood. This does not bother me, as you obviously don't see that if it's against a wall, but if you are buying to put in the centre of a room to use as a desk it's probably not for you. It was delivered on time, but the box was very battered and not fit for purpose, so we were not surprised to find, when opening it, that a few items where broken. However, these items were replaced within a week by Brown Source, with no problems at all. Generally I am pleased with the purchase, it does the job, and I did not want to spend too much money so, as they say, you get what you pay for. If you are a perfectionist and like top quality furniture this would probably not be for you.

Excellent desk, plenty of storage and is very sturdy.
A very good desk for the price. Feels sturdy and is altogether a well designed desk. It took me a couple of hours to put it together (on my own), but I suppose two people would have made the job quicker. The only criticism I would have is that it would be helpful to have stickers on the panels to easily identify them (some look identical, but in fact are different). But it wasn’t too much of a hindrance.I took some advice from other reviewers and left the back board off the left side cabinet when putting it together so I could mount a monitor arm clamp. Very grateful for all of the responses to that question. If you’re looking for a desk that is sturdy and looks nice, this does the job well.
