High Mount Stop Lights Full Rear LED 3RD Third Red Brake Tail Light Replacement fit for 1995-2016 for Toyota Tacoma Truck (Smoke)

Looks great and works properly.The reasons for 4 stars is this: 1) The electrical connection plug was an exact match however the OE light had a 'keeper' built in that is apparently designed to keep the male/female plug assembly from rattling around. This light did not have the keeper. I addressed this with some duct tape which I just wrapped around the connector to pad it. 2) It came with various screws but none were exactly right. I ended up using some SS screws I had 'in stock' in my garage. These were mated to the OE plastic pop in screw nuts. 3) I could see that the light wasn't going to seal correctly with what was supplied with the light. I modified the supplied adhesive gasket by enlarging the screw holes to about 1/2" so that the light would pull down all the way to the truck body sheet metal and not allow any moisture intrusion. Somebody else said install with silicone, which would serve the same purpose, although maybe not be as neat an install. Ether way some additional steps are required to insure a seal.Maybe it would have fit other years truck more seamlessly. Mine is a 2013.

This fits perfect on my 2000 Tacoma. The wire harness matched the one in my truck. I did have to go in the inside of the cab to unscrew 2 nuts. I didn't have to pull down the entire headliner, I just had to pop out the 2 clips in the back. It came with all of the hardware I needed.Since several reviews on similar products complained of water intrusion, I siliconed all around the lens and even on top of the exterior screws. Since there are no instructions just be aware there are 2 small rubber gasket washers. Those go on the underside of the screws that are visible on the exterior.

This was a no brainier. Two screws and one wiring clip. The hardest part was prying the old one out because of the double stick gasket. All done in ten minutes. You may need a plastic scraper and some adhesive remover if you want to get all the old gasket off without damaging the finish before installing the new light.

I just installed on my 2007 Tacoma and noticed some scratches/smudges on the smoked chrome inside the assembly. I wish I had seen this before installing. Aside from the minor damage, I had to use separate screws. The screws that came with it were too long for the existing plastic “holes” and the clips for the nuts (to use the bolts) were not long enough to house the nuts directly behind the openings. Gave 3 stars because they look great.

The quality of this light is awesome. Definitely brighter than stock, and just gives the truck a little bit of a different look. Everything you need to install comes in the box, literally plug and play.

Tried this on my 2016 Toyota TRD Off-Road 4x4 Double Cab and was way too small. Need to post dimensions and possibly alter the description of this product. Also, will be skeptical buying from this vendor again.

Great quality and look awesome installed. Needed to watch a video online to learn installation but are actually really easy.

Silicone the units backside screw holes and around any wiring so if a bit of moisture does penetrate the gasket over time, it won’t make it into the electrical. I also siliconed the mounting screws. So far, been through a few rainfalls (yes in July) and no issues. Looks way better day and night.
