aPHR Associate Professional in Human Resources Certification Bundle

The practice guide covers a lot of good content, especially for beginners to the field. Really appreciate that the quizzes after every chapter also come with an explanation for each answer. Same with the exam practice book. I used this as supplemental study material in addition to my aPHR course material (12 week online course through DePaul University) and the aPHR practice app by Distinctive HR.Losing a star because:1) some of the book quiz/exam material didn't match up to the CD material. Also, some of the answers in the practice guide and exam practice were incorrect.2) some practice questions was about content that wasn't covered in the book. However, this was also the case with the app I downloaded.I will be reaching out to the manufacturer about this. But overall, this was good practice material.Update: Took the exam on 8/2018 and passed! I highly recommend the combination of studying course material, the app, and this product. Even though there were a few flaws with this study product, all 3 study materials covered different topics or added concepts and perspectives that were beneficial for the exam.

This book has good content. However, some of the questions at the end of the chapter have nothing to do with that chapter. I am reading the practice exam book now and have found many errors. Again, some of the questions and terms used in the practice exams were not in the book. Also, some of the answers in the answer key have the wrong letter and if you read the in-depth answer key a different answer is given. One question was asked twice and each one had a different answer. Many errors!

Used this for studying for aPHR exam. This book was a lot harder than the actual exam in my opinion

This set had helpful content that will actually be applied to entry level HR positions. It bridged the gap between the information and the jobs themselves. However, the practice questions had many errors: some questions marked the correct answer as incorrect, but the explanation explained the actual correct answer. Other questions did not match the answers (as if the question was changed but the answers were not updated). These mistakes transferred to the software so it was difficult to tell what the true exam score is. Overall, helpful information.

Used it for last minute cram section and I passed! Actually did a lot better than I thought I would. Love the random questions. Only thing I didn’t like is it fills the screen with the answers on one side and the next question button to the far right lower corner. If you have a large screen like I do, it gets a little old. But it is still doable!!

The content of the exam guide is solid. You can tell the book was not edited thoroughly, but it gets the points across. The practice guide, however, is all over the place. Some questions were about topics that were not mentioned once in the exam guide. Also, some of the answers at the end of each chapter were incorrect. Solid read, just be aware of the issues with content & questions.

Overall, the material provided in the bundle was very helpful and presented in an easy to comprehend format. Like others, I did notice that some of the questions and answers following the chapter reviews were incorrect.What I think is most important to recognize when studying for this exam with this bundle is that there is a TON of information covered and tested in the practice exam book that is NOT covered or even mentioned in the exam guide. If you have a test-date scheduled, I highly recommend not saving the practice exams until the last minute as you will be scrambling to memorize all of the new information.

Great information and helped me pass my exam; however, it’s unfortunate the author and/or publishing company didn’t employ a proofreader, as the text was rife with sloppy errors and typos.
