NexLand Outdoors Ceramic Ferro Rod Striker Mini Size EDC Survival Kit for Fire Starter

I wrote a review on the small necklace sizes ferro rods that I bought with these. I think they’re a good set. These strikers worked great with the 90 degree edge. Well worth it.

Like the 1" ferroceramite rods I bought to use these with, it's on the small side. In fact, I'd say on the very small side. On the other hand, I'm using them, with firecord, to make survival necklaces, so they'll be a last resort sort of thing if they're ever necessary.

It’s a good pack of kit for the price, in my case, the sample in the model’s hand made it appear larger in contrast. I guess my hands are much larger and it was a bit difficult trying to get a reliable grip and stroke angle, I like the product, but I think I might look into the next step they provide, CS4015, for about the same price they provide a 2 pack.

We use ferro rods all the time for lighting fires and I had purchased the Bayite 3.14" keychain ferro rods to go on our key ring. I wanted a striker that was small, that didn't take up space. This is for emergencies and I don't mind having to remove it if I really needed to use it. The combination of the keychain ferro rods with this striker is perfect. The striker has a very good edge and it probably works better than any other striker except it is small and you have to be coordinated to stay on the ferro rod, but this was what I wanted. For hiking and larger ferro rods I use larger strikers.

Just as I imagined. On the small side, but workable.

It is much smaller than the photos on Amazon show. Thus when I ordered it I hoped that it would not be too large and heavy, It is actually perfectly made and the size is just great. Keep up the good work Nexland.
