A truly BIFL saucepan
Context:I didn’t think I’d spend this much for a 2 qt saucepan. My own hand-me-down Farberware 2 qt saucepan from 30+ years ago was starting to have burn spots and the aluminum plate on the bottom was getting thin from others’ and general use.Comparison:I tried a plethora of pans from Fissler, All-Clad d3, their graphite (?) version which had a thinner base, Cuisinart MCP, Greenpan x Food52, and Tramontina Prima and Tri-Ply. Suffice to say, I ended up keeping this one.Pros:- Great for making sauces, single serving pasta, hot chocolate, compotes, you name it.- The manufacturer is US-based which is a plus.- Care instructions also state to hand wash if possible. The rivets for the handles don’t hamper cleaning. One of my must-have’s was a pan that could endure the occasional/often throw in the dishwasher. This one’s passed with flying colors.- I like how light it is compared to the other pans I used. It’s a single uninterrupted layer on the bottom compared to clad pans.- water boils easily in this pan on a gas stove, almost like an induction cooktop.- factory seconds on their website make it a great buy; new is also still worth it for the longevity I believe I will have.Cons:- The handle doesn’t get too hot. The lid, on the other hand, does and you will definitely need mitts for that.- The pot will easily boil over if you have pasta in there with the lid on, even if there’s one inch of opening.

Quality cookware
Multi-ply cookware w/w SS cooking surface, all metal construction, riveted handles, what could be more correct??? Rounded edges where the pan base meets the walls which allows total surface access by your whisk or spoon. This replaces a 20 plus year old Meyer hard anodized aluminum, spot welded sauce pan that had lost most of the internal surfacing exposing the aluminum beneath, RIP..........

Flimsy Junk
If this cookware is 5-ply, each layer is only one atom thick. It's just a thin, flimsy stainless steel pan. You can get a better pan than this for 30 bucks at Walmart. Returned immediately.
