If you want a sinple step counter, this is the one for you. There's a big clear display. There's no need to clip it to your belt, just slip into your pocket and it counts every step you take after 11 continuous steps so your daily step count is more reliable Resets to 0 at 2am and stores your daily count for 7 days. What impressed me over other devices was that when I held it in my hand I observed the counter advance with each step I took. It uses a 3D solid state accelerometer so is far more accurate than pendulm devices.The previous device I had was based on pendulum movement and was quite accurate on long walks but would pick up all movement whether walking or not making the step and distance records wildly inaccurate. So I decided I did not need to know distance travelled amd if ever I did, I could easily measure my average stride and compute the distance knowing the steps I'd taken.
