I was looking for an affordable rechargeable portable little cd radio since I bought a car with no cd player. Got an AUX cable for the speakers to, but I tried this little beast just on it's own with a Busta Rhymes Genesis CD and was blown away by the quality. The bass is great, and I love walking around with this thing now at home, it feels like I have a old school boombox with more modern aesthetic. My only beef is I was disappointed with the USB function of this. I hoped there would be a menu like UI so I can easily navigate my MP3 collection of music but unfortunately there isn't so it just goes song by song of your USB with no titles just track numbers so it renders USB music use pointless if you have a huge storage device. Lastly my other criticism is one design flaw imo. The CD tray is nice and strong and it feels safe and strong to walk around with while it plays CD. I just don't like how on the back the CD is exposed with an inch crack so its not sealed airtight, so I may worry about collecting dust or whatever if I am outside too long. That should be covered so the CD is protected better. BUT FOR THE PRICE THIS IS STILL AMAZING. I MAY BUY EXTRA FOR OTHER USE.

I'm so glad i made this purchase. After much research and trial and failure i've finally found a solution i can truly claim is exactly what i was looking for. Since this will be my work music-system i needed something clear and capable of delivering music via a variety of media. I won't quite say this is an iPod-killer but it comes close. the USB-drive input is so cool if you don't need to see track-titles or have complete control over how your playlists are sequenced (the random-mode is helpful) USB-drives are cheap so you can have multiple Flash-drives containing a variety of music(s) of your choice (the only limitation being no disks over 64 GB...my unit really seems to like Sandisk). i had no issues whatsoever with CDs skipping....i wish the FM and Am knobs weren't stepped but the increments are tight and i get my favorite FM station clearly. The Volume- knob has 30 steps so you have a very nice range of volume to work with. ...almost twice as much as your mac computer. The audio-input is there if you want to plug in a phone or i-Pod without bluetooth. The unit provides 4 EQ settings plus the default. i've found the Jazz setting to be my favorite...providing a nice clarity across the spectrum for all music. ..it's actually a brilliant little Eq-curve given the speakers.....which is the bottom-line. i won't say this is a 'blaster' or 'boombox' of the sort i'm used to but it packs a better punch with clarity than my 2 old favorite companies' current products in the same price-range. i'm just blown away by this unit as well as the super-folks at KLIM who were immediately responsive when i had an issue with my original unit and immediately sent a replacement the next day. the REMOTE-CONTROL is VERY effective....since some of the work i do means being on ladders several feet away, a reliable remote is essential if i'm playing playlists with jumps in volume or need to skip a track. (in the first photo you can see my little KLIM approximately 15 ft away. i am on this side of the yellow ladder and was still able to to easily get the unit to respond to my remote commands (which i keep wrapped in the original plastic to protect from paint and water). i also think it's important to note that this doesn't sound like a BOSE with truly heft bass....i often work in small bathrooms when people are home so even at low volumes i don't want that much bass....just enough to have things pop and provide some definition. this is a dream unit in that regard.....so whether i'm listening to electronic music or Gordon Lightfoot....the sound is just so very nice... the question becomes how long will it hold up to the abuse i will subject it to?....i'm confident it will hold up just fine...it's build is solid. the package itself is excellent and KLIM throws in cool bumper-stickers.... i don't go around saying how much i love a company but i really love this one. my search is over.....KLIM is my new choice....of course i'd be very excited were they to release a B6-Model.

Nice, compact size

Sturdy and reliable, easy (sot of) to use, and excellent for bringing music to site. I use mine when I'm splitting wood. One CD (usually something like The Traveling Wilburys because you need distraction) is the limit for splitting, and then a repeat for stacking. Loud enough to keep me amused, but not too loud to bother the neighbors (too much). Good battery life, can take a little light rainy or snowy weather.

Nearly everything overt about this self-contained unit is great: easy directions & setup, lightweight, versatile (recharges while plugged in, many input and play options). For a lifelong devotee of assorted music genres, however, sound fidelity experience is poor. In classical music, the orchestra is mushy with instruments seeming indistinguishable from one another. On recent recordings of other music types like country, rock, boogie, folk, etc., the sound lacks depth, clarity, range, clear base, and resonance. If you want a boom box for the beach, this seems easy, well-made & affordable. If you are a true audiophile seeking portable playback of your favorites, better keep looking. (So far I haven't found it.)

I couldn't be more pleased with the Klim Boombox B4. This unit has an exceptional sound quality not found in portable units this size. What makes this special is the EQ that allows you to match the tone with current genres such as rock to classical. The rechargeable battery is the real game changer that you simply don't find on a boombox this size and money range. This unit plays radio and cd's without any problems, actually, the cd lid has a soft opening which is a clear example of the quality of this unit. Now the customer service is outstanding. I had a few questions and Miriam, the customer service rep., was outstanding, kind, and professional. She took the time to explain the many features this unit has. She is a fantastic, knowable, woman that made all my interactions with Klim enjoyable. I can't say enough for this product. If you want a high- quality boombox and excellent customer service, this is the product you want and deserve. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this radio back in June, so naturally it's too late to return it. First of all the sound doesn't come on immediately after I turn it on. I have to wait to see if the volume needs to be adjusted. Ok that was annoying but I could live with it. Today I switched it on and after a second or two of the AM station I always have it set to, it cut out and the disc player started to spin. I've never even played a disc in the thing. So, save your money, this radio is junk.

Pleasantly surprised by the functionality of this boombox. Easy to use, volume control, looks good, and truly a great value for the money. I’d purchased a different cd/radio player that was truly a piece of trash. This one even has an equalizer. Purchase this one, you will not be disappointed. A+

Trotz Spotify will man doch mal eine alte CD hören ... und das Jewel-Case mit dem abgebrochenen Scharnier in Händen halten. Und für den Preis gibts einen recht guten Klang mit Fernbedienung und zig Optionen für unterschiedliche Medien. Für Netzbetrieb UND internem aufladbarem Akku

Da mein CD-Player plötzlich keine CD's mehr abspielte, habe ich mich nach einem neuen Gerät umgesehen und bin auf dieses Gerät von Klim gestoßen und mich dafür. Die Lieferung erfolgte zügig, das Gerät war sicher und ordentlich verpackt. Ich hatte leider ein kleines Problem mit meinem Gerät, kontaktierte den Kundendienst des Verkäufers. Die Antwort erfolgte umgehend und mir wurde anstandslos geholfen. Mit dem Gerät bin ich sehr zufrieden. Für meine Bedürfnisse ist der Klang sehr gut, ich nutze das Gerät ausschließlich für Hörbücher. Eine Fernbedienung hätte ich nicht gebraucht, aber wer weiß, vielleich nutze ich sie irgendwann doch. Das Gerät kann über Strom, aber auch mit Akku betrieben werden. Das gefällt mir ebenfalls sehr gut. Die Form ist auch mal was anderes und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt für mich auch. Von mir gibt es 5 Sterne und eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Ein großes Lob an den Kundendienst!!!
