It works
I have used this multiple times to help determine the rocks I find. If you know about rock hardness it is awesome and affordable

Handy kit for beginners
I used this kit on a rock I have and was able to figure out pretty closely what it is. It’s a nice little kit for beginner geologists.

Great price.
This was perfect for identifying some of my rocks that I picked up along my hikes. I would of liked a better streak plate guide and a little more detail on how to use. I would order again.

Great for beginners, step up if you want a decent set
If this is your first kit, it'll work fine. I was traveling with mine so the HUGE ASS nail was less than ideal. The magnifying glass is OK, I'll be upgrading that immediately.A little surprised at the small size of the magnet, glass, and streakers. They just look bigger in the picture. But maybe it's cause the nail is so damn huge it tricks your eye. It worked, it would be a great stocking stuffer for a young kid or if you needed 30 if them for a class it would be a decent price for your money.I used it for a week on a geo trip, definitely upgrading upon return
