Excellent - despite short best before date - so ignore !
Excellent - despite short best before date - so ignore the date ! - very very black - the grandchildren loved black icecream - ignore the bbf date - just store it well - in the dark, dry and cool and it will not go off - perhaphs not at its best if kept too long but .."waste not want not" ?....I have all the grandchildren at massive tasting sessions when making ice cream - its wonderful......

Perfect black
May seem expensive, but it's a huge bag.Add a tablespoon at a time, it goes through some beautiful shades of grey before it gets to black. I used 8 tbs, which barely made a dent in the bag. My ABC ratio is 1:1 as I don't like it very sweet (500g butter to 500g icing sugar, 2 tsp vanilla & 1tsp almond). I added 1 tbs of boiling water to offset the extra dry ingredients. If you have time, make it the night before & let the colour develop, then you can use less. This doesn't taste of chocolate, more reminiscent of an Oreo. Not at all bitter. The picture shown is just the powder, no artificial colouring needed.

Intense black indeed
I love this! Not only that it makes pitch black buttercream, it's also extremely delicious!Just make your usual buttercream, butter + icing sugar ( I add cream on mine to make it softer) and just add this black cocoa and mix, done.I found out that if you make your buttercream a day early, the colour becomes darker and more intense because at first, it will be like dark brown colour, you don't need to add more cocoa powder, it just needs time, atleast 24hrs...

Cool interesting quality product.
Delivery was prompt and package was in good condition. This is an interesting product. Beautiful black colour that Looks really cool especially contrasted against a white frosting/icing. It does have a different taste to other cocoas, it must be said albeit a delicious one. It has a more grown up aroma but perhaps has less chocolate body than you might be used to. Everyone has enjoyed the things I’ve made with this so I’d say it’s a hit. I have also mixed with regular cocoa to get a more conventional choc taste with good results. This product is alkaline whereas regular cocoa is neutral (Dutch)or acidic(natural). This means you need to be a bit mindful of using bicarbonate of soda. Bicarbonate is an alkali and the two together will wreck the chemistry of the cake. So I would say this cocoa isn’t good for rookie bakers. This is next level. This is a large amount so I won’t need to buy any more for a good long while, but I will be buying more for sure. Have fun trying this product, I certainly did.

Amazing stuff
Wow, I wish I had discovered this before. If you love chocolate and like to bake then this is the stuff for you. Makes really intense chocolate cakes and puddings. Very black too, which adds to the experience of richness. Just a word of warning though, as this is a very alkali product when most cocoa powders are acidic. this is important if your recipe relies on a mix of cocoa powder to fizz with baking soda to aerate the product and help it rise. In such cases don't use Dutch processed cocoa.

Brilliant
Amazing cocoa powder, didn't need much black food colouring to get such a deep black colour! First time trying it for the drip on this cake and I was impressed. Can't wait to try it out more. Huge bag aswell and long date! Will last a while so yes great value

Great
If you have never used this do keep in mind this isn't the usual sweet cocoa powder. It is quite bitter and doesn't give you the usual sweet chocolate flavour, maybe a mix of the two to start. Also be careful using it, I looked like I'd swept a chimney when I knocked the bag over and got covered in it. Rookie mistake
