Looks Beautiful!
Over all it works well. We haven’t used it since the duct hasn't been connected to the vent. It looks beautiful. The lights are very bright, the fan works amazingly, and the glass is thick. It is so easy to use with just one touch and it's on. Definitely recommend.

Great looking hood
Nice unit that looks great and functions well. It was packaged extremely well and everything was protected with a tough blue film. Some complain about the fan sound, but I found it to be no louder than other exhaust fans I've owned over the years. The instructions overlooked the need for a 1-1/4" hole you have to cut through the support bracket so the electric plug can get into the attic. The hardest part for my installation was the required framing in the attic. Many people complain about removing the blue protective film. I used a fresh sharp razor to cut into the groove on each side of the chimney, followed by a sharp dental tool to scrap it out. It took about 30 minutes. I have an 8' ceiling. I cut the two chimney pieces 11-1/2" long which gave me 36" to the cooktop. I'm very pleased with the purchase and you can't beat the price.

Nice looking unit, moderate level installation
We needed to install a hood for the addition of a gas range. Ordered this unit due to CFM rating and shipping time. We were under a tight deadline to get it and get it installed. It came quickly and without any damage to the shipping box.My installation was a bit more involved as i had to reconnect to an existing duct that was covered over during a renovation the previous owner did years ago. Thankfully there was electric power already in the same spot, just needed to add an outlet. The instructions aren't great, but that's where YouTube is helpful. There are a handful of videos on installing island hoods. Not this exact model, but they are very similar. My one gripe is that if you plan to hang the hood at a higher level you may need to cut the chimney duct. If you want to use it at it's highest level the stainless covers don't work without some rework. I have 8ft ceilings in my kitchen and if I was to install this as the directions lead, my hood would be about 15-20 inches off the top of the stove and directly in my face. I got it to work out with some improvising, but will need to redo the chimney to make it look better.I have not tested it with actual cooking to see how well it evacuates smoke/steam, but a piece of paper sucks up to it on all settings. The fan is a bit loud, but would only use the high setting when cooking generates a lot of smoke.I don't find the LED lights to be too bright/dim. In our situation they work well, adding good light to the cooking surface. This installation isn't for the beginner home improvement type, you need to have a good knowledge of various types of skills, but overall it seems to be a good unit and is pretty sharp looking.

Powerful and Stylish Addition to Any Kitchen
I’m very impressed. It has a sleek, modern design that instantly upgraded the look of my kitchen, and the powerful suction eliminates smoke and odors efficiently. The LED lights are bright and energy-saving, and the fan operates quietly even at higher speeds.

It's actually pretty well made
I've learned you can pay what you want for these cook top exhaust fans. I took down the old one (15 years old) and I was really surprised on how well the Cosmo packaging protected the unit. Especially the large piece of glass. It came in 2 days. We really like the "touch screen" the 4 lights is a nice touch, you can really see what you are cooking. At night time it's nice because instead of looking for a light switch, this Hood will light up the room. The multi speed exhaust feature is plenty powerful, my exhaust doesn't go straight up, it goes up 4' to a 90, then travels horizontally about 12' through an exterior wall and vents outside. It isn't very loud at all, waaaay better than the old Takasumaki or however you say it. The grease filter system was well thought out and can visit the dishwasher every so often. All stainless steel of course. Installation was relatively simple I supported it from underneath with a couple of 4x4's and the kitchen garbage can. I'm almost 70 and it wasn't very difficult, but it would be wise to have another set of hands to help. For ventilation the output is 6", so I went with a 6" to 4" reducer, and used solid 4" sheet metal tubing as the upright to the 90. I've found over the years that the accordion flex tube can be a bit noisy. Get a spray can of ZEP stainless steel polish to keep it cleaner and remove fingerprints. It was a good experience, took me 2.5 hours and 2 cups of coffee. Thanks to Amazon for hooking me up.
