This seems a durable device that offers challenges and simple fun.
60 day update: This car has continued to provide more lasting entertainment than expected. It sits in the corner of the living room and is regularly fired up by me as a short diversion activity or by visitors. The unusual means of steering can be learned quickly and operators show a satisfied response with increasing driving challenges. The car has also held up well through many a crash.Original: On the day this remote control car arrived we had two young people visiting so this is a “trial by fire” review. It was used and abused for an hour or more of inside use.I’d start by saying that the means of steering the car is clever, it does so by leaning the car body to the left or right and the front axle is mounted so that it passively rotates with the body movement. Mimicking the steering of an actual car is difficult on a remote control model. If that is a purchase requirement then plan to spend significantly more. This control has a bidirectional joy stick to go forward and backward and another to lean the body. Getting a feel for the body-lean control has been a fun challenge to master and I feel that our tenacious 2 1/2 year old may well achieve this as well before long.During our “test drive” the young drivers were running into furniture, walls, boxes, and other toys. It was vaulting, sliding, and rolling over onto its top. I did find two small pieces of broken plastic on the floor and figured they were from the car, but I did not find any signs of breakage on the car and the performance has not changed. I’d give it a full 5 stars for durability except that an axle pin fell out of one of the wheelie casters which then dropped the caster wheel. Both parts were found the next day and I was able to reassemble it with a pair of pliers. Some other quick assessments:+ The remote worked from two rooms away through walls and seemed capable of more.+ Two rechargeable batteries is a good idea as one can be charging while the other is in use.- The battery compartment on the car was designed for a battery pack slightly smaller than the ones that came with the car. The first change took over 5 minutes to work out one battery and replace it with another. I’ll probably make an L-shaped puller to aid in the task.+ The “smoke” is a funny addition and elicited some happy squeals from the young test team.- It took me a while to find the on switch and it is not indicated in the instructions.-- There were very sharp plastic “needles” near the center on each of the wheels. These were leftovers from the plastic molding process. A dremel tool quickly remedied the problem and careful use of a knife would do the same.- The auto mode would attempt to put the car onto its wheelie casters but it turtles onto its back with each attempt and needs to be manually righted. A programming issue.- The music is loud and annoying (my opinion) and there is no override for a parent. The kids loved pushing the available buttons, including the music button, until we negotiated to carefully avoid THAT button.

Best toy!
I got this for my nephew for Christmas and he absolutely loved it!! Loved all the features it came with and was great for doing tricks! This thing is also pretty fast and is fun to play with outside. I plan on getting my daughter one this next Christmas.

Fun gift
I thought that it would be more difficult for a 4 year old but he had it doing everything it says it does. Happy kiddo, happy shopper 😊

Really fun, but one issue
I got this for review so will not comment on the pricing other than to say I thought it would be a small car and was surprised when the box came how big it was. Couldn't wait to try it out.Tires and suspension are really good and can work well outside in a normal cut lawn. Batteries have a good connector and while the included charger was very basic, it did not have any parasitic current issues and performed very well charging the pack fully in about 6hrs which is standard for 18650s. They give you 2 batteries so you can put one in while the other is charging. You need to provide the 2 AA batteries for the remote.I set everything up and confirmed that my batteries were half charged with my battery tester. Plugged in and one minor issue was that due to tolerance, one of the packs was very tight so had to force it in. Battery slot needs to be slightly bigger to account for the extra wrapping they used.Filled the smoke generator reservoir with water using the provided pipet and turned the truck on and the remote connect very quickly. Sent the truck forward and it went flying, this thing is very fast. It has a lot of power in the motors. Got it to flip up vertical by going forward then hitting reverse fast and it starts turning vertical. Flip it back to 4 wheels and hit the smoke, it works really well and I like it is just evaporated water. Lights and sound worked really well too.Next thing was the only problem this truck had. for some reason when I hit the left/right joystick the truck will not turn. I tried it while moving with no luck so I stopped and you can hear a beep noise from the truck so it gets the command, but it does not turn. Since I have no way of contacting the seller and Amazon will just to a swap, I decided to not to send it in and write this review as I think it can be fixed easily. If they do happen to contact me I will update here and modify the review with a edit note.Lastly, even though I could not turn, I did take it out to the yard since it is fast and has good tires and a suspension on the back. It is fast on the grass and handles bumps well, pretty sure I could hit a stump and get it flying if I wanted to, but didn't try.Overall: It is a good product and brought me lots of fun despite its issue. since Amazon is handling it, I would say if you had an issue they will take care of it fast by shipping a new one while you return the old one.1st Edit: Company did respond to me quickly with suggestions and assistance. Unfortunately we are dealing with Amazon not allowing videos long enough to show the problem.
