Well made product that I'm generally happy about with one exception: the female threads are not a constant diameter wherein you may find that a nipple threads in to it's thread end. More thick (grey) teflon tape than you would normally use is a MUST (2 out of 4 in my instance) Dry fit first!

Our water comes from a well that produces TERRIBLE spotting that really etches our vehicles. I have a full water filtering system in our home for drinking water, and added the Geekpure filter housing plus a Neopure 25 micron carbon filter after the sediment reduction portion of the system I installed - and the problem is dramatically reduced. The inset photo shows the filter housing in my basement equipment room. Its efficiency is absolutely aided by a Rusco spin-down filter and Pentair Pentek DGD-5005 Big Blue Water Filter that come before it. The rest of my home's water is also filtered / UV lighted, etc, but the hose water for one of our spigots comes from after filtration in this Geekpure device. Filtering water for car washes with well water may be for you as it is for us - a multistep effort.

This filter is to replace my existing Pelican unit which is approximately 6 1/2 years old. I was able to reuse the existing fittings as well! I think the O-ring part number should have been included somewhere since it is a replaceable part…… oh, that’s right, there was no information at all included with the filter!! Not even a “Pack List”!! Wow! This is a new one for me. Come on, are we (customers)

Bought three blue and one clear. The clear exploded a year later. The Blue are still in use.
