They do get very warm very quickly which is perfect in a pinch. I personally use them for minor aches and also used them for breastfeeding to help milk production. Boiling them is slightly annoying but the convenience that comes from the fast acting heat is worth it.

These are amazing! I had some that wore out and had to buy more! They are great for sore spots and for breastfeeding when you get lumps. Warm up quickly and easy to boil back to normal. Good size to fit in your hand.

I've used this type of hand warmers from several brands over the last 20 plus years and they've always been great however not this brand. These get warm but not even warm enough to feel if you have even thin gloves on and they only last about 25 min. I'm used to these type warmers getting hot and staying hot over a half hour with an additional half hour of just being warm. Purchased this set to use this past weekend with the single digit temps but after trying a couple inside the house upon receiving my package I decided to go purchase better ones elsewhere. These would probably work well to put in kids jacket pockets for short periods of time.

Did not stay hot as long as I had hoped, but still acceptable. Intend to use for hand warmers this winter. Also xmas stocking stuffer.

We're using these to provide warmth to orphan kittens (heaters are covered with a towel). These work as-described.I have read that this kind of phase-change heat pack should not be stored in its crystallized form, or it will more quickly lose its ability to recharge. If you will be storing it away, boil them to their liquid phase first.

We saw the same warmers being sold at a festival for $150. Amazon offered a much better deal. Nice Quality, these provide a good amount of warmth. These could be used for many different purposes. Great for sore muscles or just keeping your hands warm on a cold day. Easy to carry a few in a purse or backpack.

This did not get very hot. It was warm for only 15 min and then got cold. Not worth the money or the time to boil it to get it back to its original form.

I live in canada with -40 winters and these work great. you recharge them by boiling them for a bit. the 8 pack is enough for a family, or if you're one person like me you can give the extras to neighbors or whoever.
