Fender Modern Player Stratocaster HSS, Rosewood Fingerboard - Olympic White

FANTASTIC ! Well worth the money ! This is a $ 3,500.00 guitar for $ 165.00 ! The craftsmanship is impeccable. This is not a cheap piece of junk made in china !. This is a work of art and sounds and plays as well as the strat I had back in 1979 !. I'm going to buy more Fender guitars.

First off i must start at the color......while olympic white remains a staple in the fender color chart i elected to go with the silverburst.The silverburst is a two- tone deep silver surrounding a lighter shade of silver.it is a much richer looking guitar ,and there are not many like it.this is a nice series because it enriches the retro "modern player" series and blends todays technologies.this was set-up to play right out of the box.It is my ocd habit to have it professionally set-up prior to gigging with it,but i was so excited to play it that i used it in our practice,to see how she ran.It is now being set-up.I really have to talk about the pick-up configuration.I love the fact that a humbucker is a regular buying choice by fender,whether it be the blacktop series which features 2 humbuckers,or this series which has one.Sometimes we buy a guitar and just fall in love with it ,and it becomes a part of your lineup.Our band plays alot of classic hard rock,and the low end is an important ingredient in the songs recipe.Fender has allowed us the priveledge to be able to play with a classic line of body styles we love but tended to stay away from due to the lack of power.It is not a problem any longer.As soon as i saw this strat and the amazing color i haggled over price a bit and won out by taking it home.The tonality is immense,due to a 5 position blade toggle,an H/S/S p/up configuration,and the whammy.it is a medium wide neck,so she is fast and a good size for all players.A nice body weight,and really you all pretty much know anything else i could tell you about it.I am not sure how the electronics are on the inside,but if they are cheap i have them replaced.I own a "fat strat" which has a wider neck and headstock,and it is awesome to play.This guitar is a quality piece for its low price point.I believe it is an alder body,with bolt on neck so it is equivalent to my "MIM's".This is a must have for fender enthusiasts,and i can promise you when my tech finishes her up ,it will be my lead guitar for gigs.
