"Flat Belly Kitchen" is the first time Ive seen in print all facts and nothing but the facts on this topic.
People ask how I've lost weight. It is difficult to answer in a simple statement. From now on I'll just recommend this book.I have told anyone that asks me, that the main thing Im doing is searching for research! and trustworthy sources. My main goal is to be healthy. It takes a lot of reading between the lines and looking for the real information ~ and being aware of the spoonfed misinformation that is pervasive in our society. People typically believe all the wrong information that they've been reading and hearing for so long. I dont want to alienate my friends or family by arguing, so I don't really deepdive ~ they think they know better. This "Flat-Belly Kitchen: Superfoods..." is a great resource in plain english as a guide to how to be healthy and lose or maintain weight without 'going on a diet' and its not only the right thing to do, its easy! when you are satisfied and enjoying whole foods. The difficult thing is when you aren't in control of the menu!! As an example, I was visiting down south with a friend at her familys home. Now, I don't normally have much in the way of 'bread' but there was going to be some toasted garlic bread. OK ~ wont kill me and Ill enjoy it. Well, not really. margarine and garlic powder on white loaf of bread. And basically these occassions are hard for me to live with. So,, please everyone, read this! Wake up and smell the coffee!! Remember that real whole food isn't made or processed in a factory and that stuff will only make you fat and depressed and sick ~ and it will kill you. So, if you aren't at your healthy best, read this even if you arent thinking about getting a flat belly. You can feel and look better with this information. Learn to recognise the misinformation that marketing is all about.

A Guide to Great Eating (and for a Flat Belly)
A very good guide for more healthful eating as well as for losing weight/belly fat. A lot of good food options vs. poor food choices are covered. I like that the reasons why preservatives, additives, GMO foods, etc. are so very bad for you are explained in detail. Four stars only because I think it could use a few updates, such as warnings about wild caught salmon from Norway containing very high amounts of mercury. But overall, a great guide for getting back to basics, making healthy food choices and extending both quality and length of life!

Not Just Another Diet Book!
Flat Belly Kitchen: Superfoods for a Flat Stomach: Lose 2 – 3 inches From Your Belly in Less Than a Month by Mike Geary and Catherine Ebeling not only is an informative reference for good food choices, it is also a cookbook with a range of delicious recipes. The authors start by debunking some of the myths surrounding food. They emphasize the level of nutrients in food (which they call Nutrient Density) as more important, rather than the calorie count. Throughout the book, Geary and Ebeling remind the reader that it is important to eat foods that are as natural and unprocessed as possible. What is especially helpful is that they not only say which foods are healthy or unhealthy, they also explain why. Geary and Ebeling begins by reviewing the major food groups and which foods to avoid. Next, they review the food groups again, this time describing which foods are healthy and where to find them. Towards the end, Geary reviews a sample workout and diet regimen he followed, to give the reader an example of how one might get fit for a special event. Geary and Ebeling also include a buying guide, which provides a list of where to purchase healthy, organic food. They conclude with a fantastic selection of recipes, from entrees to condiments to desserts. This book is perfect for someone looking to dig a little deeper into the science behind healthy eating. It is not as helpful for readers simply looking for a regimen to follow. However, for anybody looking for a guide on what to eat and why, Flat Belly Kitchen is an excellent resource. The recipes are simple and straightforward, and often come with background information on why the ingredients are healthy. Definitely a helpful resource for healthy-minded eaters.

5 Stars! Has everything you need to get healthy!
Flat Belly Kitchen is a book about healthy foods that has it all! The book begins with explaining what is healthy and what is not. In particular it explains how the consumers are led to believe something is good for you when really it is embedded with terrible ingredients. It explains how french fries may contain poison and how coffee sweeter could have a coal tar derivative in it. The authors also explain how meats and dairy are often bad for you. While these two groups alone are not bad for you, its what is being added that is. Often times things are being added to our food that we do not know about, and even things the FDA allows may shock you! The great thing about this book is that it doesn't just tell you what you are eating is wrong, but it explains what you should be eating instead. The great thing about this ebook is that as you read there are links to websites to provide more in-depth detail on specific topics. Also the book provides exact names of companies and sites where the authors get their foods from. At the end of the book there are many recipes. The recipes range from smoothies, dressings, desserts, and even a Philly Cheese steak! This book will set you on the right path to know what shouldn't be eating, and how to go about eating better!

Should come with a health warning!
This book should come with a health warning! The research that is cited is over 10 years out of date but in the main this is a terror tactic book. It deliberately tries to terrify the reader about food in order to promote its mandate for 'organic' eating. Recent scientific evidence has already proved unilaterally that there is NO difference between organic or farmed foods. This book goes on to promote an anti medication is propaganda saying that you should never accept antibiotics (used to control many types of diseases) not to mention it's out right lying of what you will find in meat, fish, and milk. If you followed this book you would certainly lose weight but far from healthily and at best you are simply going to produce expensive urine!

back to how we used to eat.
I'm a yo yo dieter. Lost 6 stone, then put 7 back on. I'm tired of low fat no fat, artificial foods which I have been consuming with little or no good effect - apart from the yo yo ing weight. My son in law has been trying to let me in on the secret of 'natural' food, of good fats - think butter instead of low fat spread. Remember when most of the food we bought was fresh, and didn't contain an essay length list of additives? There wasn't a low fat or no sugar option, we just bought the whole food. Thats what this book is about - no processed, intensively farmed, chemically altered food. The focus is on fresh, organic and free range. I'm sold on the concept I now just have to implement it. Olive oil, cheese, roasted cauliflower, free range chicken.... The pineapple salsa is brilliant. have to rethink my shopping, find places that sell real food and go back to my future. I knew my great nan knew what she was doing when she did the roast potatoes in lard!

Good advice
Bought this on advice from fitness trainer and its been very helpful. The recipes at teh back are good, esp if like me you're trying to figure out how to lose the carbs for 14 days! In conjunction with The Gabriel Method Cookbook, most of my bases seem to be covered. Just one comment though, bonus #7 Cardio workouts, the password/user name doesn't work :(

Good, down to earth, no gloss cookbook.
A basic, down to earth, no glossy pictures recipe book. Just what I need really. I spend way too much looking at the pictures in more colourful cookbooks. Looking through some of the recipes, I know this book will be very useful.

but if you want to know about how good certain foods are for you and want a regime ...
Unfortunately didnt learn anything new from this book, but if you want to know about how good certain foods are for you and want a regime to follow then have a look. It also uses American foods in the diet.
