How many days.months of surveillance recording? I read some people have had many problems with recording and going to check an incident to find some HDD hasn’t recorded Is there any issues with that on this one?

Q: Hello, In order to get the video on your phone can you connect the system up wireless to your router or does it need to be hard wired to the router?

The system doesn’t have built in wireless capabilities but you can connect a wireless transmitter to the system with LAN cable. This what I have done, but the cost of a wireless transmitter is extra of course. Can be purchased from amazon or eBay

Q: What cables are needed to connect to TV or monitor and are they included?

We are using a standard hdmi lead to connect from hard drive to flat screen tv. Dont think this lead was included. My so used a standard monitor lead to connect to a monitor this was included in the pack.

Q: Can you use a wifi dongle to connect to your router?

There are dedicated wifi adapters which some dvr's can utilise. I didn't spend too much time using the search engine on my phone finding one. When you get the time, perhaps you might find a compatible one. I expect it would be mentioned as an optional peripheral with its model number in the operation manual if the dvr is capable otherwise; it is possible to convert and send an analogue signal over the air using an external rca to wifi converter, transmitter and receiver but the end signal could only be viewed by a hardwired/connected monitor which is attached to the receiver and is in range of the cameras transmitter. They use these systems for car reversing camera installation.
