Wood not finished, paint comes off, too light
I play castanets in some flamenco dances and bought these for my daughter so I can teach her. I don't think these are good quality castanets. The red paint comes off very easily. Some of it was already scratched off. The wood isn't finished on the inside. Also they are way too light and do not make the sound that you'd want to hear. Might work for a Spanish dancer Halloween costume..
