I just received this light today. I'm impressed again with the build quality of the several Sofirn lights that I have. The materials are nicely machined and the finish looks great with no defects. The threads and especially orings could stand to have a little bit more lubrication from the factory. There is some but maybe mine was just on the light side.The package includes everything shown: SF36, lanyard, battery, charger, USB cable, and spare orings.Unfortunately I did not get a photo of the battery as it was straight out of the box. The Sofirn outer wrap rates the cell at 2800mAh and has a protection circuit on the bottom of the cell. Literally the first thing I did when I opened up the light was unwrap the cell, pull the protection circuit, and rewrap the cell. The gray wrap that is on the cell shows a rating of 3.7V and 2600mAh. Still pretty decent for a setup at this price as long as the capacity is close to it's rating.The light has 4 modes, from 11 lumens up to 1070 lumens. Modes are cycled by half pressing the tail switch and are nicely spaced. Comparing the brightness to my BLF A6, I'd say they are pretty close when using identical cells (Samsung 35E). The color temperature is on the cooler side and seems to be somewhat neutral.Overall, this is a very nice light and I would recommend it for a simple light. It seems to have good throw while still giving a decently wide hotspot, and good usable spill.Amazon lists this light two ways: just the light itself and as a kit with battery and charger. If you already have a supply of good cells and chargers, skip the kit and get just the light itself. I'll only be using the included charger and cell as a backup.

This is one of the best budget light kits you can get. The performance of this light is worth much more than what you will pay for it. I love flashlights and have a lot in my collection. The battery tested at 2683mAh, which is still really close to the 2800mAh listed on the cell. The charger is portable and can be used anywhere to charge this battery just like you would a cellphone! You have 4 brightness levels which is nice. My Lux Meter say this light is putting out 1112 lumens of 5k light! Very nice build quality. I like this model so much I bought more! Keep them in your car, garage, in rooms of your house etc. so you will always be prepared for power outages or emergencies too. Sofirn makes quality flashlights at very affordable prices!

This Sofirn SF36 is my second flashlight from this company. I love all flashlights but this company gives you a lot of light for a very reasonable price. For $23.99 delivered by Amazon, you get a nice feeling, bright flashlight, a pocket clip, one rechargeable battery and the charger! How can you go wrong at this price? These will be re-ordered for future gifts. High is a very bright 1070 lumens with an excellent beam pattern. The center spot is well defined with a nice amount of spill. The tactical strobe is also a nice feature. The moonlight mode of 8 lumens allows you to get around a dark bedroom without blinding yourself or waking up your spouse.With the battery and charger, this package has all you need. Nothing else is needed to purchase. This will make a great addition to your EDC or get home bag. It is also a great size to carry in your car or backpack. With the addition of another battery or two, it will be ready for your next camping or hiking trip.

This isn't a bad flashlight to start with at all. It comes with a charger, battery, and its very solid. The low mode is enough for most purposes, and the rest of them are great for distance.You know how some LEDs are just way too blue or ugly? This isn't one of them. The light is slightly warm, not dirty looking as an incandescent, a very pleasant color unlike most other LED lights of this price. Its a very high quality flashlight, with really nice threading, a good heft, and machined very well.It has a slight strike bezel, I hit myself with it and it hurt, a lot. It doesn't look like it would but it does hurt quite a lot. It won't tear your pockets either since its so melted, but when you hit someone with it, I am sure it'll hurt them. If you plan to use this as a self defense item it can be that for you. I'm pretty sure it'll even hurt more than a maglite triple D.Speaking of a maglite, its way brighter than even the LED maglites and way more compact. It'll probably even hurt them more because of the position of the bezel. I can't really test the lumens on this thing but I have other lights that are the stated amount of lumens and the claims seem real. It can and does light up a whole room if you point it at the ceiling.It also remembers what mode you were in from last time. Some people like it. Others don't. The battery charger is a nice addition, but you need to supply your own USB plug for this to work. It can charge other batteries that share the same chemistry, there are batteries that give a LOT of power in the form of an AAA, and AA but use a number (10440 for AAA and 14500 for AA). Just don't use them in your regular electronics, they will be fried unless they're designed to use it. The LED on the charger will turn from red to green when its done charging.Something unrelated: I used amazon prime for one day shipping. It got here within a few hours. Unbelievable. These may reach you the day you need them if you have prime shipping. I suspect that this brand will be around for a long time, I used their AA/14500 SP10B which is a very nice light as well.

Excellent light with everything needed!The light has a good mix of spot and flood and makes a great general purpose flashlight.I like the basic charger and lithium cell that was included in the kit. The charger can be used at home or on the go by plugging it into any phone charger or similar usb port, very convenient. The included lithium ion cell tested well also, and works in the light with no issues.The led has a great neutral/warm tint that I like much better than cool white. Good strong pocket clip. Stainless bezel on the head gives it a bit of style. Overall a solid performer with a good feel to it, convenient package with everything needed. Very happy with it so far.
