"Large" Is Pushing It
I would say this is a medium-sized at best rain stick, when I think rain stick I think 3 feet or bigger.Sizing aside this sounds great, and it's a wonderful addition to our home's instrument collection. You get a good 4-5 seconds of rain sound with each turn, which can be extended a little with some practice.For the price, I would consider this more of a novelty or kids' instrument, which makes it just a bit overpriced... but it's okay, it would still be at least $25 bucks in a music store for a similar product.

Very soothing
My wife and I have a nice set of singing bowls we like to play for each other to help relax and wanted to have some other instruments to add to the mix - this produces a very nice, relaxing sound that adds to the experience. Well made.
