I have several dat straps and this one is not as good as the others, quality control were a bit lapse.

The strap came in in a nice paper box along with 2 steel picks (do not have much use for them, but they look nice) and 2 rubber strap lock rings with Dat Strap branding.Out of the box the strap felt really nice and already broken in. As advertised, there are 2 layers of leather with a foam material in between. The result is a thick and comfortable strap. The upper side is nice and soft, the inner side is suede. That part has excellent grip. It took some time for me to get used to it (esp. compared to my previous nylon strap), but now I really like the stability it provides. This would make a big difference to someone who suffers a neck dive with their instrument.Assembly and adjustment of the strap was easy and straightforward. This brings me to the only issue I've had. The holes at both ends are quite smallish (just the holes, not the cuts) - the strap pins are kind of too wide to fit those holes and the strap can be quite easily detached. Luckily this issue got perfectly fixed by the attached rubber strap lock rings (and I like the resulting look as well).Overall this strap has fully satisfied me and provides features that are present only on more expensive straps.

So comfy and haven’t found a negative so far

It is a pleasant surprise to be able to bye a British made product. I purchased this strap on spec, I had no previous knowledge of the product. The company has very proactive communications contacting me via email after I had ordered with updates and contact points for any issues. The product was exactly as described and was packaged in a nice branded box which also contained some silicon strap locks and a couple of nice metal picks. Personally I never use pick but my guitar playing friend certainly approves.I use this strap on a four string bass and it works fine, with the 2 and1/2 inch width, as guidance to others if I was getting a strap for a 5 string or above, I would go to the next wider width, but that is a personal observation. This is a very well made product I am happy that I purchased.

There are better straps but that's a matter of choice and this one is fit for purpose. I have several.

I am not big on reviewing products, however I thought this strap worthy of a good review. After trying several others I finally found the dat strap to be ideal. The strap looks good, fits perfectly over the rather large strap buttons on my electro acoustic without having to take a knife to it and most of all its comfy, very pleased and highly recommended for the price in fact I have paid more in the past for vinyl straps sold as leather!

At the minimum length it is only just short enough for bass players.
