PetSafe® SmartDoor™ Connected Pet Door Key for Dogs and Cats, Collar Key, Large ZAC19-17682

Needed more sensitivity for the dogs to improve door function. This helped and now we are doing well with the Smart Door. The dogs have gotten used to the delay in the mechanism so it's all working. Cats stay in Dogs go in and out as they wish.

Both me and my chocolate lab dog Blue, love this. It give him the freedom to come and go anytime of the day or night. Saves me from running up and down a flight of stairs all night.!!!!!!! And in hot weather he can just go out anytime to lay on the deck and cool off. Best investment ever

The jump rings are so light they pull off or unwind. Add to that the ‘smart door’ is useless and you’re throwing your money away.

The key works fine enough. I wish it detected my dog sooner before reaching the door. It works enough though. The main issue I have with the key is the way it attaches to a collar. The little metal ring on the key connects to the key with this flat metal attachment to the key. Basically, it is VERY easy for the flat metal to unwind from the ring. The result is that this collar falls off your dog in less than a day of playing around. We had to search all around our property to find it a couple of times now. For now, we wrapped the ring with some duct tape to keep it from falling off, until we find a better attachment solution. This really is something that the manufacture should be able to fix easy and cheaply. Please fix this.

I got the petsafe key for the petsafe smart connected dog door. The door is supposed to sense it within 8 inches and unlock, the range and sensitivity could be better but that’s not the key’s fault. However we have lost several keys due to the key just sliding right off the rings. Luckily Amazon has refunded and sent replacements but it shouldn’t have to be done every few days. This last attempt I used two key rings to secure it and it still didn’t work, a replacement is coming in the mail again. Update: 4 more attempts to keep it on and lost it again
